I haven't played GTA 4, and I still know the head is the best place to shoot to kill someone.

James Earl Ray never played GTA 4 or any shooter whatsoever, and he knew that shooting Martin Luther King Jr. in the head was the best way to kill him.

Supporters of that bill could have easily banned Biology from school with their ridiculous logic:

Avoid the PC version of GTA 4, even Tenebrae (a Quake engine) is better optimized.

... where "fanboy" is the key word. It's not just this guy who irks, but anybody who states a theory as fact. He has supporting evidence, but the evidence is not scientific in nanture. His claims are not clearly laid out in a scientifically falsifiable statement. He has not acquired any data from comparing one group of people to a control group, where the only variable is the fundamental basis to his claim. Furthermore, any data that he has presented that comes close to being scientific in nature does not have a large enough difference between the two groups being compared (game players vs. non-game players). For a quantitative difference between two groups to be plausible, the difference in the average must be twice as large as the largest standard deviation, which is not so in the data he uses. I wonder how many people are really persuaded by semantics and appeal? Was it this guy who won the hearts of people by saying "The winds of justice are at our backs"?

Games have only done good things for RS.. A lot of our general knowledge comes from games..

Even our stinking neighbor gave us something he found on the net. It spoke about how bad games are for the minds of youngsters, and how it does not stimulate them to do anything.. Our neighbor has been very silent after seeing how we won the MSUC in the newspaper..

It's quite simple.. if the individual is born stupid, homecidal, or brought up to be stupid, homecidal, then games won't change that..

You can't tell me that people have only started murdering people since games first came out..

On our news we had some 18 year old freak who slashed fellow pupils with a samurai sword.. He didn't play games.. But his family was clearly not right..

Now this is an old thread. But I still agree that he is pretty much the worst humanity has to offer.

That is a very exaggerated statement. What about creationists? Or the Austrian guy that kept his daughter in his cellar for over two decades and had 7 babies with her? Jack's priorities and common sense are broken beyond repair, but he is not even remotely close to match the worst of the worst.

In a worldwide affair matter yes I would agree with everything you said. But referring to a gamers standpoint, at least in my opinion he is Public Enemy number one.
