I like how many of you name the Age of Empires series, I was addicted to the first one and the expansion years ago. Though unfortunately it is not very flexible due to its age, for example I think the population limit of 50 units is microscopic.

P.S NoFatties, you ever made a siege map? you start with one castle and some triggers to spawn units, you fight unlimited enemies

We still play Starcraft the most over any other RTS. It' simple but very fun If only Warcraft 3 wasn't such a complete opposite!
Total Annihilation was always great fun. The number of dead units was amazing Always thought the explosions and wrecks were brilliant. Matches lasted hours and kills quickly rose into the thousands. One of the best things about that game, was the infinite resources (which is why we made all our own Starcraft maps have very high amounts as well)

1st FPS i ever played was Doom 1 demo. Don't think the PC i played on even had sound Still, i'm hooked on Doom

CounterStrike was OK, but never really had any classic rememberable matches. UT99 and HL1 had quite a few. Quake 1 i think may have been our first MP game played, although we may have had Doom running on those old direct-link cables and 386's Aaaahh, the good old days

Starseige:Tribes.

The game is free and the community is still kicking,although it has been dying off many people have been trying to resurrect the old beast.

Easily the best game I ever owned,even above Unreal.

Oh man yeah! I loved doing that. One thing I loved doing was setting up my castle in some corner of the map surrounded by simple palisade wall and a couple of cannon towers with a ton of triggers on the other side of the map. It was fun to see the bodies pile, but oh the lag....my pc got killed at the time with that hehehe

For Starcraft maps, we just select all the resource patches, right-click and set the amount as high as it goes.. It is still considered by the AI then so all is fine Many great matches there

Yeah, I never bought the third one. I really think they should have removed the pop limits for all the Empire Earth series. I was also kinda mad with the way that AA guns in Empire Earth could be used as anti-vehicle/infantry weapons...88mm AA guns and you can't use them for anti-tank. Instead you get some stupid tower

Here's one that I havent noticed popping up yet (or maybe I've just been too unobservant):
RA2: Yuri's Revenge.
You know you hate those Mastermind tanks...and psychic towers.

Here is a tip: build one and get 8 IFVs and with engineers in them, then set the IFVs to guard the master mind... Overload? not any more infinite mind control!

Hell yeah! hovercraft that has 5 prism shots, or other combo's

Personally, I preferred massing at least fifty odd gatling tanks in one corner of the map and then sending them in. Those things can be ridiculously annoying since they speed up their fire after a while and then they are fast as hell.
Oh dude, I got really frustrated with that infinite mastermind tactic...

Does anyone still play Medieval Total War- the first one? What about Heroes of Might and Magic 1-4? Or the first Hitman 47 game ?

My friend still plays Medieval Total War... I've never played it... Don't really want to (saw shogun total war and thought Wow... My brother wasted £5 on this).

As for Heroes of Might and Magic I play No. 3 when I can find the disk (always goes missing)... Same with Hitman 2, never found a copy of the original Hitman, although I do know there are some funny glitches on it...

Speaking of Japanese themed games, anyone here ever play Shogo: Mobile Warrior? I think it was made by some of the people who worked on F.E.A.R.
