RS44 Flare pistol

Primary: Fires the flare, can catch things on fire and can allow support to the users position. Damage- 30-40 impact. 1-2 scorch damage

Alt- Fires the flare unignited, acting as a single shot grenade launcher. Damage- 60-70.

Ammo- one shot, seven rounds total

Story- Made by Hyperions and a new company, Evangelical Co. created The RS44 flare/grenade pistol as a means for air support or path finding, but since the flare had a weird tendency to catch the ground on fire, it was reconstructed from the ground up. Now the flares can ignite an enemy on fire or fuel. It can also fire a deactivated flare, which is more of a grenade. However, you only have one shot, so aim wisely.

SX's Flare pistol made Xan's legs into burning branches.

Xan tried to cool off his groin, but in the end, it wasn't worth it.

Xan caught the grenade like a dog, but it exploded.

SX blew Xan 50ft into the air.

SX made Xan's groin into a giant hole.

Suicide-
Xan called for help by using his body for a flare. (Primary)

Xan blew himself 20 feet in the air using his own grenade. (Alt)

I'm going to disagree with Zer0 and say stick with one shot; but I must ask, will the flare remain on the ground until it burns out or will it just burn out when it hits a wall/floor/person?

Yes, and in real life Flare Pistols, you only get one shot before reloading.

In blood II the flare pistol was a revolver with 8 cartridges , now, yes real flare guns are all single shot like grenade pistols, but a multiple shot version could be funnier

A flaregun works as a weapon, but the obvious weakness is it's capacity of 1 (why would it be higher?) and the arch of the projectile. It could deal high fire damage, but basically it's a golden gun with nicer visuals, worse aim and less effectivity. I guess you could use it as a tool of sorts in conflict mode, but as a weapon it's effectivity is questionable.

I always like the idea of unconventional weapons such as this, it's just that I cannot see a reason why to use it unless it is low tier in evolution mode.

Maybe a JW weapon then?

P.S I love the idea, but you are right, why not just use the flamethrower?

FYI, JunkWar was not designed with a specific theme in mind. It was designed as an easy to use/customize/implement/expand melee sytem. The junk theme is in place simply because it was easy to get reference material and is easy to make a wide variety of things so there can be a large selection of sample code for some of the more complicated things, like the Tazer or breakable beer bottles.
