Hi guys, ive decided i cant model at all its just impossible for me, i lack concentration and patience
so ive decided to do something i can do and that is make The old boring ut2004 Main menu screen into a New Ballistic Weapons Main menu full of blood and BW weapons!! im also going to have a shot at making a new HUD this will hopefully make BW into a Total Conversion Or a Semi Conversion
But i'll need some help, i'll need The Ballistic weapons Logo for the main menu screen I Promise i wont modify it.

I think you tried probably something too hard, I remember you wanted to model my crossbow, and this one is pretty hard to do.
I even won't be able to make it myself until I mastered my easiest models first.

Hi, guys Im going to change the Loading screens and need some ideas on which ones i should make so im goig to let you decide

1. rpg hitting bot and gibbing him
2. snipering a bots head off
3. shooting the bot down with the xmb
4. Gibbing the bot with the EVPC
5. shooting the bot down with the ah104

YOU decide

You can also post put two bots that are railed at once with the railgun
A screen of two cowboy style people battling with Wilsons and redwood lever action rifles
Burning people with the flamethrower
A duel with the staves using Egyptian skins
A robotic skin holding the X83

You where really going down the wrong path with the modelling.

you should have tried simpler things, plus your going to need to code for the HUD.

i've never tried coding put i suppose it must be quite easy ive done some coding well modding a game i own called just cause 2, i modded tha all the time and actually got one of my mods in the top 20 on a mod site, that was coding but it was modding the code
i've also made a completly new main menu for that game although i never got chance to complete it because of system errors

i also modded the main character and the police the police were zombies

basically ut2004 cant be different from that game and if i can get the right tools then i will definably get this done quickly.

Professional programming is not easy. Modifying numbers is piss easy, however, advanced modding can prove a challenge but not even close to writing something from scratch.

i also need some help every time i kill someone i get the you killed bot tag

and the green scroll at the bottom telling you who you killed how do i turn it off it will help alot with the screenshots

I think I would prefer something more elaborate than just a screenshot, or a more interesting screenshot with stuff happening all over the place.

Its all about timing im using a bullet time mutator so i can get the perfect shot but as soon as i kill a bot it says you kill BOT which is annoying and stops me from getting the perfect picture

try using the "playersonly" cheat, it stops time so you can run up to them while they're launching rockets or whatever and take a nasty screenshot of the projectile leaving the gun plus god mode is always helpful

Thanks man, the map is called DM-PueblinCanino_2K5, it pretty much a remake of Dogtown

I would let someone who can run the game at max at 60fps take the screenshots.

After ages of searching i finally found the file containing the Ut2004 Main menu, The modding can begin expect Progress update soon P.S i actually found it ages earlier but i lost it

Im going to remove some stuff So it dosn look crowded im also changing the loading screens to something moe exicting

P.S.S im giving the main menu a metallic army look

Ive successfully Implemeted the loading screen into the game it isnt going to stay that way, i am going to renew them, but its a step into the right direction,
Next is the Main menu, which is proving a challege because of the bubble at the left hand side of the screen, it says error if i try replace one of the images

I havnt decided what the main menu is going to look like im thinking of a black metallic background with the bw logo with blood all over it
The bubble thing i mentioned earlier will have Three ballistic weapons, Nows your chance to nominate your favourite BW weapons
I will also get round to Editing the Font, and giving it a blood Texture.

IF i can get all the screenshots to work i will post a a beta link.

P.S also if anone has any music they would like for the main menu music tell me now, because the main menu music SUCKS!!.

also this may seem like a small project, but please just remember that this is my first project, and i am working on it myself.
The first person to post here and say ONE ballistic weapon, will have that ballistic weapon on the main menu, so its up to the next three posters

Ive added the second Loading Screen now ive got the last one to do before i can release the beta it will contain only the loading screens i am trying to get over a problem with the HUD, at the moment its proving a challenge because the image always adds a whie surrounding over the image instead of leaving it transparent

I WILL try to edit the fourth Loading Screen but this could prove difficult because you have to edit the ut2004 ini, so i wont be able to add that in the beta
If you know how to get the hidden Screenshot then i will add it, and i will add instructions on how to get it

There's a secret loading screen... I figured I'd post it here, since it looks like you guys are talking about loading screens... >.>
Anyways, open up the user.ini. Press Ctrl+F and put in "backgrounds".
It should look like this:
Just change the second 2 to a 3, and you get a Xan loading screen.

What quality are you running it at and what FPS?

I may have blurred that one a bit too much

I gives it a nice smooth look, but if overdone looks stupid.

these are to going into the actual mod but are going to be the beta, which im going to release soon, although i need to sort out a major problem before we can get off ground

Ive fixed the isue ive had earlier, it wasnt going to stop me from the work, but it would have made it slow, anyway im going to be releasing the beta shortly, it makes it better to know that there will be no issues stopping me

Well, things are going well i've removed the Horrible bubble And replaced it with something More ballistic!
Ive also reduced the size of the Bw logo and Made it More Transparent.
Ive changed the GUI from that Bright red to a nice Blackish Grey or dark grey

I want to make a new Loading Screen and replace the last one
I want all the GUI to be black and have NO blue bits
i want to get rid of the Stupid U logo in the Middle of the Screen, And probably Replace it with something AWESOME
i want to change The Background again to a Black Checkerplate with more blood on it And probably some bullet holes
Lastly I want to Change the Player HUD and make it dark, Unfortunatly this affects Both Red and Blue Teams, so i cant just change it to a different colour
I Could However Change the Style of it, From a boxy Mess to a Sleak Stylish Modern look
ad lastl, lastly I am not going to make anymore betas for it Spoils the fun
