Yeah, that picture is from Black Ops, though there aren't many high def ones around. It's pretty much just a high tech scope with a binocular viewport instead of a monocular one.

So, the MRL is gonna have the scope for the Valkyrie rockets from Black Ops?

Maybe. I'm going to be adding more features like an infared laser as well as the guided mode, so the scope's going to need to be high tech. The Black Ops one is the first one I thought of, though it's kinda hard to find good pictures of it. It seems kind of similar to the TS-34A military scope. Here are some other interesting ones.

alrighty, just finished a super, super basic skin for the gun (it's definately gonna need a much better one in the near future probably with bullet pictograms for the selector, reflective lenses for the scope, and a dark buttpad) it's pretty much just two tones of gray, with white lenses for the reddot and flashlight. I'll try to get it animated by the end of this weekend if all goes well, soooo...yeah

I've been off this week due to my computer being on the fritz. Modem isn't working, I had troubles even getting it started (resolved now) and just general suckiness.

On the other hand, I got a Magic system made for Fallout 3 that gives you spells and power at the price of your sanity! Fun!

Haha, well I didn't get any work done this week either because Call of Duty: Black Ops just came out. Too much fun killing zombies.

I was wondering... do I need to put some "fake" shadows on the gun or do I just let it happen naturally, like is it necessary to do it? if so, should it be as dramatic as it is on the back of the pistol grip, or make it very subtle and let the game work it's magic?

Fake shadows are the way to go with UT2004. Sadly the game is not modern enough to add good looking, high quality lighting. If you have the technology but don't know how to paint shadows by hand, I believe you can manually apply them to your texture using your modeling program.

Well I always loved your pack, and maybe I'm late reporting this, but the HMC117 (Yeah that laser/railgun hybrid) on the red team doesn't have the same particle effects than in the blue team. That is just a good looking problem but it has a bug, and it is that in the red team you can't put the 25% attack mode, just works on the blue team.

Also the X83-A1 Sniper Rifle has a great look, but it eats fps as breakfast, as you can tell on crappy PCs, like this netbook where I'm tied up until I get a decent PC, so maybe a low poly based model that is used automatically when you set the graphics at the lowest would be great, (only of course if doing this would be possible).

Talking about the X83-A1, I would know how did you do the second pic of the V9 of your pack, where you see the X83-A1's bullet, it was a bug or it was jammed? or just another thing? xD.

After that I just wanted to express my opinion about the CYLO and of the AK remake, and it is that, mostly the AK, it seems to be too down on the player's view, I mean, I always like to see almost all the weapon in first person, and with the AK I hardly ever see the hands or the magazine, even when reloading, and I don't really like that, maybe I'm too maniac on these things, but for me it "kill" one of the feels that BW mod produced on me, sorry if I didn't clarify myself enough or if I offended someone, it wasn't my intention at all, I love and always love your mod and BIG effort to release more and more fun and addictive weapons.

Finally I must say that I didn't read the 65 topic pages so I don't know if anyone mentioned any of these things and seeing that in the last page nobody mentioned this pack (at least I didn't saw it, sorry if I'm wrong) and that I don't have much free time, maybe it wasn't a really good idea.

I'm not saying that I don't like people talking about others things on this topic (they are a bit related to the topic at least, to be true) but that maybe other topic should be created to help on the development of this mod, if it doesn't exist already (and agains sorry for my lack of info)

Said that, I desire to this weapons pack and everyone else pack and modders alike the best luck with everything.

THere is bugs with this pack but it is the biggest collection of weapons we have, of course its going to have bugs
also the ak47 and the cylo are BETA weapons they arnt finished yet so they will probably be corrected in the future
and the hmc 117 is a beta too,just wait time will tell.

Hmm, the X83 is laggy? I'll have to look into that. I don't know why it would do that.


That's the round cycling for the next shot. You can get a good view of it if you shoot when facing a wall up close.


Both of those guns are animated by Captain Xavious so I don't have much control over that. If I raise those guns too high then the player can see the end of the arms and that doesn't look very good. The AK is getting animation work done though, so this might change.

I have a problem with the models.

I have the latest version of the Pack, and the Ballistic Weapons plus bonus pack 4.

The PK2000 Submachinegun has default assault rifle (as in the game's assault rifle) and a weird, ballistic hands texture.
The LS-14 outside first person is a Ranger rifle model.
I don't have the flashbang grenades, or the M99 Sniper Rifle.
The MARS-2 Assault Rifle, MG33 Light Machine Gun, FG50 Heavy Machine Gun, VSK42 Tranq Rifle, And the Tactical Rifles all have the exact same model and texture.

Is there anyway I/you can fix these bugs? (im not sure about the last one, though.)

He's aware that they are older models, they're just placeholders for the time being.

The FG 50, the FLASH, CAW and Shock and AWE are waiting my own models, be patient.
