Red Faction is one of the best FPSs I ever played, Red Faction 2 is however the biggest pile of crap I have ever played.

I hope this mod will stay true to RF, the game deserves respect.

wow i thought i was the only one who thought part 2 sucked, but yah it was the worst game ever. how ever red fraction 1 has the best multi player (ps2 versiion ), and it straight up owns

i am really gonna be pissed if they only release a .exe lol. but by time this mod really kicks off i'll have a new computer any ways (same with GE source ).

Red faction 2 made my eyes bleed, it was so hideous. Never played the original.

RF2 made my eyes bleed too, but that was because I ran out of tears to cry with, because it sucked so much.

I heard they nerfed the railgun.

RF2 or the mod? RF2 had a railgun, but not the kickass raildriver that RF had.

RF2's railgun was NOT nerfed. It was the only thing more overpowered than the sniper rifle. if your shot went within eight feet of your target he was dead.

I heard it didn't have nearly as good of a scope though. Not full screen or something.

You didn't NEED the fulscreen scope. Any person showed up as a bright yellow circle through any amount of walls, and all you had to do was hit that circle, not them, mind you, just the circle, and POW! Game Over. The circle wouldn't even change size based on how far away they were from you.

The raildriver in RF1 was like that too, ya know.

I suspected it was, but didn't know for sure. I really don't get what the point of a weapon so stupidly overpowered is. At least stuff like the Redeemer limits you to a single shot, and can be shot down.

Believe me, the raildriver is not an overpowered weapon. After every shot, Parker opens up the chamber and puts a new slug in, then closes it. This process takes long enough to make the gun useless if you are dealing with more than one or two enemies.

This isn't a fast paced deathmatch game like UT2004, so I can't see why it would be overpowered.
