Yep, V9 will have all previous weapons and will be compatible with v2.5. It's also due out in about a month so the wait shouldn' be too long.

In the meantime you can still force the beta weapons into the game via direct .ini edit.

Here's my settings for regular BW gun swapping, remove the entries you don't want then
slap this in your BallisticV25.ini

You won't see the guns appear in the in-game menu but they show up in the game anyway.

EDIT:

One other thing, Sgt.Kelly, if you are still working on the flashbang,
can you please follow Kaboodles simplified grenade fire modes rather
than the standard BW grenade fire modes

Kaboodles grenades are much more intuitive to handle and don't drop
at your feet when you don't want them to. IMO Runestorm should have
done it the way he did.

... a month? This is going to be one long wait...

If only someone could port V8 to BWv2.5 in the meantime... if the only reason it's incompatible that it has a lower BW version number, that would probably be pretty easy. I don't think there where many changes to weapon code in v2.5, though I could be wrong.

I just noticed something,i hope you fix this in V9.So i added V8 weapons into arena mode,i made the match start with all weapons including 2.5,and i noticed that the weapon pictures are bigger and have worse quality than 2.5.So if there is a way,could you fix this?I mean its not big of a deal,but it isnt much of a problem for you...

Hi guys, im making a total conversion for ut2004 that will hopefully fix the ghost scope bug in BW because i can see in the editor its a texture and i can change it or get rid of it if you want i overheard its quite annoying so just want to help.

The texture overlaps the invisible part of the model creating the Ghost scope or such else
to fix it without taking away the texture would mean remaking the model again adn i dont think anyones up to that

besides it would make BW more realistic that my Goal instead of the horrible texture i could have a red burn around the screen instead

anyways sorry for going off topic cant wait for Sgt.kelly's weapon pack its AWEESOMEEE

1 request I have. GRS without the laz0r b33m ( alpha'd out) and being semi-automatic. And painted black. So it would look like a normal pistol and acted like one too. Can/Will you do, can I do it? I am a complete retard when it comes to modelling and stuff.

It wont be a fix but it'll make it so the udamage dosnt make it be seen ive never liked the u damage anyway

it makes the game look unrealistic.

I think theres two texture files one for 1st person and one for 3rd person if i remove the 1st person texture it'll make it so people know you have u damage but wont affect 1st person in anyway

Kabs has a version of the GRS in his weapon pack where the laser is replaced with a flash. But I don't quite understand why you would want "a pistol". Whats the fun in having a pistol that just 'shoots bullets' (not even a secondary fire?)

Well, first reason would be that I play with godlike bots only and when they use the flash or the lazor then I have zero chance of survival. Although the flash doesn't seem to effect them. Second reason is that is just love to look of the GRS so much <333. As a starter pistol it would be rather decent IMO.

Status Update! Work is underway on the new tactical grenades. We have the long gone health grenade, the heavy tech grenade, and I'm debating on whether or not to add a smoke grenade.

Yeah, the X-83 has always been mountable. Simply press the weapon special function. The ammo capacity will probably stay at 4 though.

The prototypes require V9 to function, however the V9 link has expired. There are still a couple copies floating around, and there's one on the Ballistic Community server too. You'll have to do some sleuthing to find it though!

The GRS1 is already a GRS without a laser attachment.

On a lighter note, I'm working on netcode at the moment, which is an indicator of the guns being in their final preparation stages.
