yeah, um why is the pack you gave out and the one on ther server different?, i tried to join a game on the killing time one, and it said recolors3 wrong version, as well as BwBPpack4? whats that all about????

The one on the server is more up to date. I updated it yesterday.

No, that's not the case with this weapon. The Bulldog alt-fire code has not been modified for several weeks now, which is why this issue is perplexing.

hmm, well I may not be a coder, but one more thing I can think of is that there's some dependency on a file you have that we don't, or something. (well, that everyone else doesn't have. I don't have ANY of the files, lol. )

Yeah, I keep both files on a live link. 'Live' as in it updates frequently.

Man, these are really well done. Very impressed! And I'm fairly hard to please, I like powerful weapons. As such, personally I find some of the pistols slightly mundane (the AH104 and 208) but that doesn't mean they aren't well done.

I'll be writing about these as I test them, so it might look odd to see me talk about a weapon, then talk about another one and compare it to one I wrote about earlier without the post being edited, but eh.

The Bulldog altfire works great, no problems in semi-auto or automatic mode. There's a SLIGHT offset from the primary fire tracer to where the barrel of the gun is, but fah. Who pays attention to that in a firefight?

I like the A73-E, but it leaves big red squares of death as impact decals (the picture I will attach later as I am going to bed soon shows them, but you do kind of have to concentrate fire in one spot for a while. I use a GeForce GTS250.) The plasma bomb is nice.

The medical grenade is an awesome idea! I don't know how practical it is with bots, but screw them, I'll just use it on myself then lol.

I picked up the GRSXX, and was mentally comparing it to the GRS9 (probably my favourite Ballistic weapon.) Then I fired it... whoa. The sound it made sort of caught me off guard and I jumped a bit, LOL. Weird though: The burst-fire mode shoots bullets faster than the Full-Auto mode. I mean I have to keep pressing the fire button to get bursts, but I've been doing that with the GRS9 forever now, that's second nature. As it stands, the full-auto isn't terribly necessary as it actually goes slower. The laser, oh boy. I love this gun, lol.

So since the GRS9 is (was?) my favourite weapon, I think you won't mind hearing that it's been summarily replaced. I think the worst thing I can say about the GRSXX is "mmm, GRSXX, ahuaguhaghuahga *Homer Simpson drool*

I'm not sure if the Redwood coach gun is going to replace the M763 shotgun for me or not... quite possible though. You could say I'm "blown away" by it. BAAAAHH HAHAHA... haha... ha... *gets coat and leaves*

The Golden Gun might just be slightly overpowered with the way I play (no recoil or chaos, and no reloading). bahaha, I love it.

I'd like to make a suggestion about the green BFG (it has a name so long I don't remember it lol.) Only thing I'd like to see is for the thing to start beeping sooner. If you're in a firefight and having to use altfire, you need more time to process the beeping sound you're hearing before it goes kablammo. It seems like it starts beeping at 90% of the maximum heat level, can you lower it to 75% or so? That's all I'd change about that.

The summon string is "m30a2" but in the game it's called an M30A1. I knew I was getting tripped up somewhere about that... lol.

Okay, so I said something earlier about wondering if the M763 (one of the better shotguns I've ever come across) might be replaced or not? Yeah, I just met the M781. If the damage the M781 outputs per shot is anything like the M763... Goodbye, sucker!

Oops, now I found the SKAS. This just gets more and more obscene, lol.

The SRS2 seems weird. When iron-sighted, it doesn't have a moving animation at all when you fire, it just stays still like the Rock of Gibraltar. It doesn't bother me, but it's weird.

The sawed-off redwood is odd. Fire shoots one barrel, altfire shoots both, but the time between shots (no reload animation) in primary fire is about double that of the reload time of the double-barrel shot...! That just doesn't make any sense.

I can't seem to get any of the prototype weapons though. Perhaps due to the fact all that was in the prototypes download was a .U and a .UCL file. What's up with that?

Overall though, wow, just incredible stuff. At least 15 of these have been added to my usual rotation

EDIT: I saw the writeup for the XMV500, thought I'd take it swimming. I don't know if you meant the writeup to be true about water messing up the speed sensor, but it doesn't. Also, you should probably know, if you are in the water, you can start firing it at a 2400 RPM speed, then move around and continue firing. I guess it only checks for ground movement to stop firing, and not water movement. Air movement, too. I have a mutator, Jump Anywhere, that lets you, well, you know. You can jump infinitely, and you can move around in that way and continue a 2400 RPM firing too.

That V10 in the title of one of those links seems quite deceptive. It implies big changes, but the prototypes havn't been altered that much. Unless that same thing happened where the link gave me an older package

The Nuclear LAW seems a bit more powerful though. It has a wider blast radius from what I remember. Still can't kill a gasbag with a direct hit. Maybe it should just be named "heavy rocket launcher" or "neutron bomb". On the other hand, with its low damage but high blast radius I have discovered "nuke jumping". It is as awesome as it sounds.

The Supercharger makes a really cool sound when bots fire it. Reminds me of the fire sound of the AVP pulse rifle. How come I hear a different sound when I use it?

The PK2000 seems deadlier too. I really wish it had a proper BW placeholder model. I'm sure the Fifty-9 model would temporarily suffice, then it would see more use. A weapon as potent as the PK2000 deserves that at least.

The alt fire for the Fusion pistol makes a nice explosive effect when it hits walls but not when it hits objects (players, vehicles, monsters) for me. Could that be a bug?

Apparently you can commit seppuku with the Plas-edge. I have no idea how I did it though. I fumbled with my mouse buttons as I pulled it out then I saw my character hold the sword in front of me, bring it down, and I died even though noone was firing at me. I tried fumbling around the the keys again to try and trigger it but to no avail. Still for some reason you can't swing the sword around quickly when the power is off...I'm sure you could.

Hey guys I haven't been on in quite a while (school, computer crashed yay) but I'm glad to see that ver 9 is near completion. I'm reinstalling the pack to check the updates so far, but from what I read it sounds pretty sweet

I've just tried with the version live on Kaboodles' server and the altfire works for me. Is that the latest, or is that the one we were using for the match?

Does the GRSXX do more damage than the GRS9? With my UT2004RPG settings, and the Doom monsters, I was able to one-shot everything with the GRS9 until Wave 9, when I had to double-tap an Arch-Vile. With the GRSXX, I can one shot absolutely everything from the zombiemen to the Spider Mastermind/Cyberdemon.

The GRSXX deals 45 damage per shot. The standard GRS9 deals 25.

Are the prototypes meant to be only 138kb?

Yep, think of that package as an 'enabler' for content hidden in the main pack.

@Azarael, the server package is a slightly updated version of the one on 4Shared. The server one does Nuke damage through walls, has a stronger CYLO, and a higher radius XM Supercharger.

It doesn't enable anything here anyway, lol... can I summon the weapons? (That's how I mainly use weapons anyway.)

No, I mainly summon the weapons I want to use in a secluded spot so the bots can't use them on me lol. The summon strings in the prototype ucl do not summon anything though.

I ask because I can not summon them either, but only while the Loadout mutator is active.

The Bulldog Assault Cannon also works well for me, but when I use the alternate fire sometimes I see a strange animation under the gun.

Loadout automatically purges static pickups. CheckReplacement and similar are still called by mutators on summoned pickups.

Yeah, you cannot summon pickups in loadout or arena. You can spawn mounted x83 there's though. And yeah, the bulldog has issues with the hand teleporting from the side to the bottom and what not. I'll have to cht with Xav on how to fix it, because it might require renanimation.

Oh, no I can't summon them at all even without the mutator active. I can list them if that might help?

The only one I can think might be it is UT2004RPG, but the V9 weapons summon fine, the BallisticV25 weapons summon fine... I don't know. It seems to me like it should be working, but what do I know, that's why I'm asking you guys.

The .ucl should list the weapon class names, and not the pickup class names. Guess. Most of them should be obvious, for example AH208Pickup, BulldogPickup, LS14Pickup.

Literally every ucl I have seen lists the pickupclassname too, that's how I get the summon commands to everything. That's how I got the summon list for the v9 weapons... The prototypes just don't summon... And I am sure they say the pickupclassname too... I'll check in a bit, I'm not on my PC right now.

You're correct. Hmm. In that case, if you're online, check your serverpackages. If not, showlog in console and check for missing packages in load.
