Red squares? Try re-import the textures without MipMaps enabled. Also make sure they're set to "Clamped".

i will sughest that again (has sughestet it for 2.5 without result):

for ons server is needed a equivalent for the avril (maybe the g5 with that pointing autotrack zoom funktion from original avril) and linkgun( maybe the 73 plasma with green beam as first fire(heal and build nodes))
maybe for the spidermines and redeemer also (ppl love them)

The two plasma rifles can heal power nodes.

you and i and other bw users know that, but the standart players visiting a public server didnt know that! and its not a green beam so thy wont notice that.

Just put heal weapons into the link slot. My E-23 and staves heal nodes too.

The default Dark Star heals node too, in Plasma mode. Boy, does it ever heal nodes. You can make headway on a node while it's under fire from a Manta or Raptor.

Huh? I've already coded up direct alternatives to the AVRIL, Linkgun, and Redeemer! In fact, I've coded up multiple alternatives!

Unless you tweaked the heal modifiers, I can imagine using the plasma cannons as Linkgun replacements would unbalance Onslaught by way of incredibly fast node erection and healing.

Regarding the AVRiL and Redeemer: He doesn't mean the ROLES of the AVRiL, spiders and Redeemer, he means their specific functionality. To put it another way: He wants a lock-on anti-vehicle missile launcher that works as well as the AVRiL does, he wants mines that move around and he wants a guided missile-type weapon like the Redeemer. However, my reply would simply be: Use the AVRiL, spiders and Redeemer.

Nah, neither gun is imbalanced when it comes to node functionality.
The HVPC heals at a decent click, but it will overload before it finishes. Primary fire also only blows stuff up.

The BFG heals quickly, but why in the world would that be used that in a non-combat role anyway? It also chews up ammo extremely quickly and then explodes in a massive explosion, so....

The Tac Nuke is quite literally a redeemer.
I don't like the spider mines at all.

The G5 of Kaboodles is also more Stinger like. It's tracking the vehicle directly.
Also, there's a Enhanced Weapons pack with a bigger and better Redeemer. But I can't help with spider mines etc. because it wouldn't be nice, if classic weps and bw-weps are mixed.
But it's okay for super weapons, I guess.

i already use the ehweapons pack mixed with bw, but before i ever switch to a newer bw (2.5 or above) i wich to use all (more) from bw (sgt. Peppers pack).

If it's at all possible, Kelly, can you add the M50's camera special to the AIMS-20? It would totally obsolete the M50 in every way then. Plus it makes sense, since there is an M50 camera display window on the back, and it also doesn't seem to have any special ability.

Otherwise I just can't quite use the AIMS over the M50... I make good use of that camera.

Solution:

Link gun = Make the HVC117 heal nodes as intended but also create a green colored version (does not need to be different from other versions of the HVC117, could be just a standard non-team colored version) so people will think "green beam? this thing must heal nodes!"

Avril = give both the shock&Awe and the LAW the ability to lock into a vehicle instantly (without having to hold your mouse over the vehicle), furthermore make it so that the rockets fly directly to the vehicle rather what the G5 rockets do. Set this lock-on ability to be exceptionally long if you try to target infantry (I know that you can make a weapon lock onto vehicles quicker than players, the UT04 rocket launcher does this). Lastly give the AVRiL's secondary fire to the LAW.

Redeemer = Simple, change the nukes secondary fire to guided missile



That camera display is supposed to be a camera scope I think, just like the M30AX and the UT04 lightning gun

I don't think it is a good idea to allow one weapon to completely depreciate another, even when the weapon in question is in fact the super-assault rifle and it is supposed to be ultra-powerful.

I want to see the AIMS become even more powerful but not steal the uniqueness of other weapons. I need some reason to pull out the M50 every now and then.

I dunno. It just seems like a waste to have it there and not use it.

Also, The AIMS already pretty much outclasses the M50. If I can have all the functionality but have to carry around one less weapon, I'm okay with that..

edit: Also, the M781 totally outclasses the M763, so there's already a precedent set.

The AT4? Excellent idea. I'll see if I can get a prototype coded up in the near future. Xavious is overloaded with models though. Do you have any experience with UV or animation?

@The AIMS20 and M781, the AIMS-20 is going to be a dedicated heavy/super weapon, and already has a new model lined up for it. It probably won't be getting a camera or a camera sight. Most likely it will have an actual sniper scope or an advanced targeting module.

The M781 doesn't actually outclass the M763 because it does far less damage and is far less accurate. It certainly kicks its butt where volume of fire is concerned though.

The full-auto 950 RPM should classify that as superweapon already, lol. It really does literally sound like a jackhammer.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't totally kick the M763 to the curb in favour of the M781 then, lol.

Is the SKAS the same way then? Lower damage per shot to make up for the tons of shots it puts out?

Also, please consider making TRON SKAS its own thing. I got it once out of about 80 or so tries, and it is awesome.

That's why the AIMS going to be a superweapon. We can't have a gun that acts like a sniper minigun and leave it balanced with everything else. And that isn't counting the built-in SRAC that the thing has as an alt-fire

I hope the model for the AIMS will be equally as hardcore as the weapon itself. I'm thinking bullpup styled cartridge fed rocket launcher with attached underside light machine gun and sniper scope, overall style: retro 80's badass hunka-metal, unpainted with the words "badass m*****f*****" printed in text on the side. Make it the Duke Nukem of rifles.

Also the tron SKAS is really just the XR4 plasma gun, so yea. I also vote replacing the XR4 with a standalone tron SKAS if there isnt anything better planned for the XR4.
