I use all the weapons at the same time and dont have any problems with it crashing. Thin agin im playing on a realy fast machine.

Do you use Kelly's with Prototypes and Fische11's and Jack Carver's?

It's not a performance issue, it's code

You must be not be using the prototypes or any of the other weapon packs because if you did, you would definitely crash.

My PC can handle UT2004 at max settings with a locked 60FPS at all times. It crashes when I try to add all weapons at once.

... I kinda find it funny that we've managed to make UT2004 crash by adding too many guns.

Anyway, what's in the cards with the new combat shotgun? Seems to just be an autoshotgun with a box/drum magazine at the moment. It needs... something. Maybe a close-range incendiary buckshot blast, like the shotgun from Unreal 2?

Speaking of Unreal 2, it'd be neat if someone ported the CAR from that game to Ballistic Weapons. Though I'm not sure of the legality of it.

Also, currently psudo-reinstalling UT2k4 (just reinstalling it over a current install). Tried to install a mod, overwrote vital files. Yes, I feel stupid.

EDIT: ... and now I'm getting a general protection fault. Great. *Sigh*

I've loaded all the weapons, I only get a "incompatible settings" window when I exit game to game menu, but I dont use the balance packs/mods if that makes a difference.
I'm using JK V9 2.5 Prototype.

Isn't 60FPS a little low, I thought 75 or higher was good.
Mine runs at around 80FPS average online, setting turned down a little.

This error is caused because you load (with Reloaded command) all the weapons and weapons package you have installed in Ballistic Weapons (a burden too heavy for this mod, for showing too many weapons). When all the weapons are loaded in the game and you try select one, UT2004 crashes showing this error.

You should try to include one at a time with the Summon command or make a TXT file with a summoning weapon package and load it in the game with the Exec command.

Like this:

summon BWBPRecolors3.CoachGunPickup

1. Save the document in the System directory with the name "SKBWBPV9.txt"
2. Run UT2004 and play a level with Ballistic Weapons mutator.
3. Show the console and type "exec SKBWBPV9.txt" without quotes (make sure you do not have many weapons already in possession) and do it in a place where the bots can't take the weapons.

I have separate weapons package documents with all the weapons in each package: SKBWBPV9.txt, SKBWBPV10P.txt, BWV25.txt...

Edit: nvmd, I opened BWBPPrototypes.ucl with notepad and found every pickup, I guess ^^ thanks for your help.

Bjossi is correct. I cheaped out on my LCD and it can only push 60Hz max.

As such, I lock my framerate at 60FPS for efficiency, UT2004 rarely goes below than number anyway.

This assumes VSync is on, which causes input lag in UT2004 - the amount of input lag is variable depending on operating system and hardware but for me it's approximately 300 milliseconds, which is enough to render the game unplayable. Without VSync on, it is not guaranteed that frames will be produced in synchronisation with the monitor's refresh rate, which leads to a lower real FPS and choppy gameplay. With VSync off, playable FPS is higher (about 90) and for truly smooth gameplay some of us unlock the online FPS cap by increasing our netspeed and client frame rate to pull up to 200fps - which does make a visible difference when VSync is off - especially on a monitor with 120Hz refresh rate.

Your eyes, the monitor and the game are all out of synch, so more FPS always helps.
