Unreal 1 was good but they wanted a single player story with unreal 2 i played unreal 2 and the story was well written yes it stretches away fromthe unreal tournament scene but itys a good game that is a change from the mindless killing

Unreal 1 was nothing like UT99 and subsequent "Unreal" games. Unreal 2 had almost nothing that made Unreal 1 great. Unreal 2 had those idiotic talking characters which ruined the mood, it didn't take place on Na-Pali and the Skaarj were worse in the second one. U2 would have been better if it was called something else, but when weighed up against the original, it doesn't cut it

Don't get me wrong, unreal 2 wasn't bad as a standalone game(it wasn't great though), but like SB said, it should have been named something else....
