When did the CAWS get a secondary fire? Haha, never realised. It appears to launch UT99 grenades

You know what these should do? Spray shotgun pellets everywhere once they explode

After all, the shells are designed to release tons of shrapnel. Plus it would separate the CAWS further from the existing grenade launchers.

Ive been following this forum 4 a while now so i have to say Good work SGT Kelly...!

Anyways, can any of you guys suggest ut2004 maps that feature cityscapes or towns probably even wrecked towns
I already know minus and urban..im looking for stuff for ONS really but DM can work too

The 1. one is DM-SB-Depot. I think it's already included in BW 2.5.
The 2. one is DM-Sarigono.

Some other nice Urban maps are:
ONS-UrbanStrike
and
ONS-KillzoneMetro

For some reason, every time I downloaded ONS-KillzoneMetro it wouldn't work and I never knew why... But right before L4Y closed it's doors *sniff*

I downloaded DM-AMDK-OldHaven, and it is a GREAT (I mean, it's pretty awesome!) map to play BW on

What other maps are good for BW? I have all of the community packs. Some decent maps, but most are too small for sniping.

Yeah, that thing is supposed to be a pretty effect pointing in the same direction as the blade, but one of the model's bones are pointed the wrong way. In the meantime it will be terminated with extreme prejudice!

Will the plas-edge sword be more powerful in the new release?

It is a neat idea, but can't really compare to the Blackops Blade and Nanoblade.

if you let it charge up first the plas-edge does as much, if not more damage than the dragon blade...but then it electrocutes you a moment later

I think the plas-edge just needs to work differently from the other blades. It has a very unique style going for it and should work uniquely too.

I think I already wrote about this somewhere on this thread but my ideas were:

Primary: swipe
secondary: charge up, then stab
Tertiary: block
Reload: turn power on or off

If the power is on:
-Deals double damage per hit
-Charge increases per hit
-Damage increases with charge
-Ammo is used per hit
-Ammo consumption increases with charge

if the power is off:
-all attacks are retained but deals much less damage (There is no logical reason why you can't swing the blade as much as you already could)
-Ammunition slowly rebuilds
-charge quickly cools off

if it overcharges:
-ammo reduced to 0 (which switches power off automatically)
-players gets electrocuted

PS:
While I'm on the subject I also thought about the Dragon blade and why you can't swing it quickly.
Maybe we could explain that away by saying that because the blade is made from assembled nano-particles, the blade actually takes damage when you strike an object (I.E: nano-particles getting shifted out of place) so you wait a bit before your next strike so that the blade has a chance to repair itself.

I wonder if that idea could be used to make the dragon blade even more unique: A sword that starts of powerful but gets weaker the more you use it, unless you allow it a moment to reconstruct itself

That's actually kind of the idea behind the PlasEdge, there is supposed to be a weak magnetic field holding the plasma in check, and as you hit stuff with it it destabilizes the field until its at a point where the plasma dissipates completely from the blade, often into the face of the user. That's not really quite how it works now, but that is the idea.

Ah ok. Well I can see that idea being applied to both swords if you use the right imagination.

The plas-edge and the nanoblade are visibly different from the other swords. They are clearly more sophisticated than just sharp pieces of metal so they logically should have more sophisticated functions, I welcome any idea that can set them both apart from the rest.

Progress Report! Everything is done except for the third person models for the new guns, and for the projectile model of the XM84 which makes things crash when you throw it. $:-\$ If any of you guys know how to make karma projectiles not crash, it would be very useful.

I shall be finishing up the changelogs and readmes this weekend to reflect the changes in the finalized version. Once I do that and I get the new models in, I'll get a news post up for BeyondUndreal and start hosting that final version. Woohoo!

By the way, the NEX plas edge got a buff in the latest beta! It is stronger and now only overheats on impact. Sadly, we will probably not be able to get our brand new AH208 model in before the release, so I'll have to remove the ability to dual wield it. Sorry guys.
