On the bright side, the NEX Plas-Edge sound bug has finally been fixed. Now it won't randomly mute the sounds when it feels like it.

The MR-DR88 now ejects shells properly too.
It also has its own muzzle flash and tracers. (Yellow, no longer blue.)

Just about the crossbow, how would i model the cable and the limbs? Because they bend and stretch and move.

Well, that's the problem. We really aren't really sure at the moment. I'd say don't worry too much about it, I will probably end up animating it, and I'll probably do some tweaking to the geometry to see what works. But right now, I recommend having rings (of edges) around the arms and string all the way from start to end so that it can bend smoothly.

But yeah, this essentially what I am figuring.

If you're looking for a good military style crossbow to work off of, I'd recommend the TAC-15.



Just stick a small motor on the right side and a 5-bolt clip on the bottom and it'll be a silent killing machine.

The PSE tactical crossbow uses the AR15 lower recever and stock.

A Xbow would be my number 1 choice for a new weapon.

Will the crossbow use a manual crank or a motor to pull back the string? Because if it uses a crank, then reloading would make the user very vulnearable.

I was actually thinking of a design like this. It looks a lot smoother, and i like that in a crossbow. I could always add a rail and change the scope up a bit, add some mounts, that kind of stuff, but the stock will essential be like this. I was thinking that he would do a Black Ops style reload, it looks badass. Not really true to how you would reload one, but cool. And anyway, if the player can carry a minigun, why not pull back a crossbow string?

A faster way would to just have the player point the crossbow down put his foot through the stirrup, and use both hands to pull the cord back. This is much more convenient then using a winch or a motor, especially if the dude is strong enough to sprint around all day with machine guns and miniguns like waffle shake said.

I thought about that too but is it possbile to force the players view down? And that method would require a ballistic leg too.

I personally prefer the Twinbow reload system or the sgt kelly's suggestion, it's both realistic and fits gameplay needs as well.

The bulldog is going through some pretty serious upgrades in the alt-fire reload department, so you might not see a content update for a little while.

Same goes for the CYLO. Replication is a pain in the butt to get right.

Is it possible to add a trajectory for the crossbow bolts? And make it insta-kill for a headshot, and two to the chest and limbs. Also, i am not trying to go for realism in the reloads. A cod-style reload would look fine, and anyway, how is this weapon pack anywhere near realism?

The way the Network coding is done for ut2k4 doesn't really allow for extremely high speed projectiles.

I think it works by the higher the speed the bigger the collision box? I think.

On the reloadings pretty much when the weapons get custom models.
That's only what I'm asking for, and that's even what I try to achieve with my models.
It's just a matter of tastes.
