looks like there's a bit of a bug, maybe related to items falling through the level? i managed to clean up everything, earning me the "Sanitized Earth" achievement. but somehow i didn't also earn the "Cleanliness is Godliness" achievement. i also burned my trunk, seriously, everything i could find in the level.

iono, maybe working as intended? i have to replay a bit anyway to get the hat grind and a few others.

really like the elf gibs XD

i think the foam darts and candy canes are particularly bad about slipping outside the level, maybe adjust their hitboxes to be more square and less accurate to their odd non-convex shape?

i also had a goofy thought. have you considered doing a low rez doom like level? maybe take some asset cues from sgt mk 4's "Brutal Doom" mod? XD

edit: also i had a really good laugh about the slosh o matic spawning a lit pack of dynamite

Yeah it seems the "Santizited Earth" achievement forgoes the Cleanup one, the idea being that it's too easy to get both if you aim for Sanitized Earth. :P

As it is you'll probably get that when you punch-out and are unsuccessful with the Sanitized Earth one but did clean up messes.
We'll see about fixing\changing that. :)

The things flickering out of the world are annoying, but fortunately most of the troublesome ones don't affect anything major.

Wow you guys really nailed the atmosphere on this level. It REALLY looks like Santa's workshop, down to the smallest details. There's even snow-covered hills outside the tiny windows, it's perfect!

Me and my friend played Santa's rampage in coop. We saw that the host can't unlock achievements. Only the player who joined can unlock them.

Alright, how do you unlock the Sanitized Earth achievement? I've gone for it several times now, burning literally everything on the map and cleaning up every spot (I even stacked stools to clean the ceiling... yeah).

What I've noticed is that certain items like candy canes and ornaments can clip through the floor. Does this ruin the achievement? I used dynamite to snag the ornaments hanging on the ceiling. And I died in the process. Does dying reset the achievement? What items count as a "Christmas items?"

To get the Sanitized Earth achievement you have to burn every single object that can be picked up, and have all mess cleaned.

Generally objects that you see flickering on the ground disappear and die, causing no loss to the achievement status, but every now and then some things do actually make it through the floor and live, causing harm to the achievement status. There is a margin of 3 of these, any more left alive and you can't get the achievement, we'll be fixing things getting stuck in following updates of course. :)

I see. I tried this completely twice, burning every single item. But I've seen darts, knives, ornaments, guns, and candy canes disappear into the floor. I've also had a present box get stuck behind a table upstairs (in the corner behind the tables) and a couple guns get stuck behind a table in the smaller room before the reindeer stables. No way to reach them :(

I have a couple of questions concerning achievements.

1) Is it possible to get the "Cleanliness is Godliness" achievement in the same cleanup as "Christmas Crisis Corrected"/"Sanitized Earth"?

2) Which items should you preserve for "Christmas Crisis Corrected"? There are certain things which are fairly obvious, such as presents and toys, but there are some I'm not sure about (for example, letters to Santa (both wishlists from children and legal notices), eggnog bottles, lanterns, antlers etc). Also, if you break any of the baubles (like on the tree or hanging from the tinsel), does this void the achievement?

3) Do baubles need to be broken for "Sanitized Earth"?

4) If you accidentally clock off before the cleanup is done, then pick "finish the job", then fully clean everything up, then clock off again, can you get any of the "clean all mess" achievements? Or do you need to have cleaned everything before your first clock off?

1: Currently it is not possible to get the Cleanliness of Godliness achievement if you go to the punchout machine and it gives you the Sanitized Earth achievement, it is however possible to have not burned everything, get the "Cleanliness of Godliness" achievement, finish burning everything and then get the "Sanitized Earth" achievement, we will see about changing this, as it seems odd and counter intuitive, you'd expect to get both at the same time. :think:

2: Christmas Crisis Corrected, all the Christmas items must be saved, these are: Toy Guns, Toy Figurines, Parcels, Candles, Santa Caps, Candy Canes, and every Glass Ball. You can lose up to 4(in total) of these items and still save Christmas. ;)

3: Yes, they do, each and every one. :)

4: No, you can clock off any time, and repeatedly, once you see the 3'rd screen your cleaning state is analyzed and it reports it, doesn't matter how many times you see it. Your achievement status will be updated\checked at the third screen of the clock off machine. :handgestures-thumbupright:

Question: Do items placed in my "Janitor's trunk" count as removed from the field? I thought they would, but running the Richie Rich sniffer over the trunk causes it to blare up a warning. If not - if I have to burn everything the sniffer's green radar picks up - then how do I deal with dynamite and molotovs? Not only do those tend to kill me and leave a mess, but they also break the ornaments around the fireplace. This breaks Christmas-related items and puts stains on the ceiling where I can't reach them.

Is there a non-explosive way to deal with molotov cocktails and dynamite?

Items in the trunk generally get ignored and shouldn't count against you.

The safest way to dispose of TNT and Molotovs is to put them in full water buckets then put them in the fireplace while in the bucket. ;)

*headslap* Of course! OK, that makes a lot of sense, and credit to the game for considering that :) I generally like to burn everything I can because even when items are in the trunk, they still trigger the sniffer and make finding actual offending items harder. Knowing that I CAN, however, makes sense. So... Keep a water bucker handy by the dispenser in case it decides to dispense a lit TNT bundle. Got it! :)

Fun game, but some online documentation would be helpful. I have a few basic questions.
1) Is there any way to dispose of bloody water buckets? Is it even necessary? Is it okay to have dozens of bloody water buckets sitting around when you clock out?
2) Do gibs and corpses need to be deposited into biohazard buckets in order to finish the job, or can these items be tossed into the fireplace for quicker disposal? Are biohazard buckets actually necessary to complete the task?
3) Are there any requirements to have the toys and gifts neatly stacked on tables, or is it just a matter of removing all the blood, gibs, and corpses?

The only requirement is that everything messy be burned. Including dirty water buckets, elf bits, casings, bottles, dynamite (best disposed of together with buckets), and notes.

You don't have to use the bins, you just have to burn the things you would normally put in them, anything that shows up on the sniffer must be burned. :)

Pretty neat. but oh the horror. all things within grasp yet it levitates in front of you not resting in your palm. so perhaps u shall add an effect for telekinetic carrying of objects, or make things stay in palm while feet is visible.
