Apparently, part of the janitor's duties in the Caduceus level is to restock the medkits. However, this is almost impossible. The only way to do this is to stand in front of the kit and push the first aid supplies neatly into the kit, otherwise they do not slot into place (indicated by a whirr and a beep). The problem is that in order to get close enough to put the supplies in place, you have to get too close to the kit, bumping the medkit lid and partly closing it. This blocks the players view and also seems to stop the medical supplies from fitting. As I see it, there are three possible solutions to this problem. Firstly, adjust the sensitivity of the medkit, so that just putting the supplies close to the kit will cause them to automatically slot into place. Second, modify the medkit lid so that it does not interact with players unless used with the gloves. Third, modify the entire medkit so that it has a sliding front panel instead of a hinged one. Currently, the only way to restock the medkits is using the "ghost" cheat. Please address this problem in a future update. |

Personally, I've never had that problem. I tend to put it in as close as I can, and just constantly re-align it to reset it's physics. Even if you just make it fall over into the cover, you can pick it up again, and re-align it. |

Sometimes the medkits you pick-up have to be dropped and picked-up again before you can move your view around enough to get the medkits just the right distance from your screen, that is about the only occasional challenge. Once you are holding the medkit, the easiest way to get it in the box is to walk up to the medbox, looking straight at it from the front, press left-mouse while holding the medkit, snapping it straight. You then move your view until the medkit fits nicely, and you press right-mouse. The kit should snap in with a beep, and you then simply close the lid. The lid usually doesn't get in the way enough to prevent the medkit and your hands from reaching it. But as I say, occasionally the first time you pick up a medkit, your reach might be slightly lower than it should. The easiest cure is to drop the kit and pick it up again, then when you look around, your reach should be enough again. |

I do occasionally have a struggle with the medkit, but only when other items, such as tables are under or near the wall mount. Maybe it's an angle of approach issue? Its not something I'm very concerned about. In addition to this I have found that on re-load of a save the medkits are no longer "locked in" to the wall mounts and have to be picked up and re inserted. I don't know if this stops level completion as I haven't gotten that far yet; still testing. |

Frankly, I feel the whole game can do with a better item manipulation system. Someone somewhere else suggested a sort of "telekinetic" way to hold items, rather than hovering them with the gloves, and I feel that's a good call. Give us a "power glove" of some sort which can grab items at a short distance and then simply allow us to adjust the distance at which we're holding them with the mouse wheel. Viscera is always a ton of fun, but the item-carrying mechanics are just awkward. |
