The third biggest problem is nigh unreachable ceiling stains. More of which can be caused by the biggest problem, because picking up sideways crates, or god forbid turning crates upright (because OOPS, a paper cup knocked it over, but does not want to shove it back right side up) results in a volcano of bullets and intestines shotguning blood all across the walls and ceiling in spots so high there are not enough crates or stackables in the level to reach, IF you can even get them to stack that high and remain stable. Just forget about it if a bit of intestine or skull lands on top of an air vent. I'm not even going to get into when body parts start clipping through the bottom of the crate and fall out of it when the thing is only half full, because at least that mess (usually) just drops on the floor. So you don't feel like you are being punished through no fault of your own so much compared to "Nope, nope, your only choice is to have everything explode across the whole room and bounce off the walls and ceiling". There really, really needs to be a way to slowly turn crates upright. Spilling stuff all over the floor because of a mistake is one thing. A ridiculous bomb of trash and blood is another thing entirely. EDIT: Oh come on, Steam screenshots used to be directly linkable, ugh. Just picture the top of an air vent with a body part on top of it. Guess how that got up there. Go on, GUESS. The harder part was getting the mop to work on the resulting blood stain after I piled up every single large orange box and large medical box in the level to get up there and grab that thing. |

You can easily right waste buckets by lifting a small object like a bullet or a gib against the "upper" inside of the bucket. All maps can freely spawn biohazard buckets. Tipped on their side, they're just the right height to jump on, and are easy to stack into staircases. That's how I made a Tower of Babel (see Santa's Revenge achievements) with ease. --- Downside is it seems the chance of a dispenser ejecting gibs is greater when you have several buckets already in the map. |
