I just finished playing several hours of the game, and I must say I loved it. I find mopping up blood and burning corpses to be surprisingly calming. The main thing I'd like to see implemented as the game develops is a way to track your progress. This could be something as simple as a check mark or grade next to the levels in the menu, to show that you've done them, and how well you did them. Another thing to show progress could be adding in a very basic levelling system, perhaps with some form of reward or upgrade with each level. I've noticed a few people mention they'd like to see things like better tools, but personally I think that actually practical upgrades would somewhat deter from the game's open and sandbox style. I'd much rather just see something like getting a fancier title every time you get a promotion, or even actually getting the bigger offices described in the letter you get at the end of the level. I think inconsequential upgrades like this would allow players to have a greater sense of achievement, without changing players' mindsets from "I'm going to mop up this space station because it's fun" to "I'm going to mop up this space station to be empirically better and more powerful than other players." But hey, that's just the way I see it. I'll be happy enough with whatever you guys decide to do with the game. |

I agree heavily with everything you just said, pretty much. |

Agreed. Titles and extra opportunity for souvenir hangers would be nice. And speaking of souvenirs, extra loot items in levels which work as souvenirs would be cool! |

I like your idea very much and in fact, it is this exact feature that would make me try to cleanup every level. The game is very cool, but I just sense the desire to clean about two or three maps, and then quit the game. I would like very much to see some form of progression in order to have a reason to clean all levels. The problem is that cleaning a level and not cleaning it at all is exactly the same thing, nothing changes, so it makes the game like a sandbox. A mere achievement per level cleaned 100% would make it more campaign-like, even if in reality it is not. It could be, for example: after the punch out, have a bronze/silver/gold medal at the side of the level name (or none at all if it's still dirty), maybe with the percentage of cleanliness. If 100%, it would be a gold medal (or platinum medal) and unlock the achievement for that level. Something simple but that would change the way that the player feels when completing a level. Also, I think it would be cool to have a very small tutorial level, like a normal level but with just like 10 minutes or less, and introduce the player to every mechanic. This, or at least have hints that pop when new mechanics are faced by the player. Another suggestion, there could be a small object, like a golden statue, hidden in each level, that if found and put in the trunk, would reward in some way, achievement or artwork, but this is something apart. Just because I don't really see the point of the trunk in every level, just in the DLCs. |

I agree that tracing your progress should be implemented in some way. Maybe some pin board with paper pinned to it in staff room? Or some little souvenirs from the places we were cleaning after we do 100%. In terms of progression rewards. I hate the notion of +x% faster/less getting dirty or other stuff like that. I'd rather have completely new tools if anything. Why? Because getting new tools gives a reason to play the same maps again. But they shouldn't be straight up better. So we won't abandon the old tools. They should be just different. Also they should be engame gifts. So after we finish all maps or do 100% of a level. Pretty good example of this suggestion is in Stealth Bastard Deluxe. |
