I was watching someone play VCD and I had the Idea of, what if there was a medieval version of VCD? My Idea that I had was simply, what if you were a 'servant' of a lord of a castle, or something similar, instead of cleaning up a space station in a sci-fi setting, you would be instead cleaning up environments like: Ramparts after a battle, Throne room after a king is usurped, a torture dungeon that has seen far too much use. The existing mechanics in the game would not have to change all that much if at all, all that would be needed would be a reskin of the objects. Sci-fi mop= regular mop, wooden handle Water Bucket machine = a Well, turn the crank, water bucket comes up. Furnace = Fire pit/Brazier, similar to the fireplace in Santas workshop. Biohazard box = Just a wooden crate with an open top maybe already scattered around the level, or maybe a cart that you load up and push back and forth between the fire and the mess, a reusable box of sorts. The types of Debris you could pick up would be stuff like Instead of shell casings, you pick up arrows, or broken swords. Instead of sci-fi biohazard suit parts, reskin them as feudal persons (knights, peasants, Kings,ect) Instead of Alien corpses, scatter larger chunks of flesh, maybe skinned like horses, or dead animals? (think pestilent animals launched over battlement walls) Notes could stay the same, except no digital notepads. End shift console would be a bell instead of a button to hit. I think this is a decent Idea, and would make a fun little change for like an easter egg thing, or maybe a promotional cross-branding with the Chivalry guys, or any other medieval hack and slash game. [The Rest of this post is Legal crap, feel free to skip it unless you are interested] This is by no means me trying to pitch an Idea I expect to be compensated for, if the devs read this and want to try giving it a shot, or any modders wanna try making a level based on it feel free. I just had the Idea and figured it would be a fun little thing to contribute, so if anyone wants to take my Idea and run with it, go nuts, I wanna see how far you guys can take it as I do not have any skill to do it myself. To put it in Legal terms I guess. If any portion of the above Ideas are used, either as a whole, or in part, I forfeit any and all rights to compensation from the implementation, or development of them. I do not expect any goods, or money in exchange for the above Ideas or their development. |
