In the level where it looks like sewers and has pipes there are gate's the sniffer goes off behind it but can't reach to clean it. Level Waste Disposal Sector it is called. Also is there a way to clean the huge water area.

Hmm, it's possible the splat is On the gates rather than behind it. Though of course, things getting behind the gates is not impossible.  Unfortunately no, there is no way to clean the water. |
