Hi folks,

First of all VCD is a really great game with which i have and had much fun playing. It is something different from all the mainstream games and i got hooked on it, since i

played the Shadow Warrior Level. Thank you Runestorm for making this game and for your awesome ideas and the constant improvements and progress in the developing process.

I hope it is okay that i pack my ideas, feedback and help issues in one thread.





First of all i need help in completing unearthly excavation, i only get 90% and cannot clock off to complete it. I spent more than 5 hours cleaning everything and i do not know what i missed and i do not want to do it all again. In other levels i always got more than 100% so i am no beginner, i know what i do. By the way which is the max above

100% a player can get?
At the second locked gate the sniffer beeps like crazy when the second mode is on (the one for burnings and objects) but there are no bullet holes or objects left, maybe the gate pushed them ito the wall while opening.

I also cannot open the console for eliminating these invisible rests, the button ~ does nothing. Maybe i threw too much in those sandtraps and these objects hang around down under the map?? Ok and there were some TNT accidents, maybe there are also some objects under beneath the map. Do you think i can complete the level if i start again without throwing objects into sandtraps and without TNT explosions?





My suggestions/ideas for the game: (maybe later more, if i remember)

- Please make the office bigger and add a slosh o matic and more important add an oven so that i can get rid of the thrash there.

- Please allow the player to clean the janitors box of all unwanted items e.g. heads, because my box is full of sh**, but if i sort it out, it is right back the next time i am in the office or at a worksite

- Please reduce those bullet holes, they take so much time and effort to get rid of, in some levels they are a real epidemic.





Bugs/Improvements/Questions:

- If possible change the physics for stapling crates, because they begin to move when standing close to each other and they can ruin my order. The barrels are ok.

- Do i get the doorcodes for the office during the game? They are still locked but i did not want to look in the internet for it.

Edit:
After another hard working shift, more ideas for improvement of the game came:

- The janitor could be a bit taller so that it is easier to drop thrash in the boxes

- The medpack boxes should stay closed, after they have been refilled

- It is so silent in the game, there should be the same janitor talking like in the shadow warrior temple, i found that really cool and i am really missing it in the main game...

It is absolutely possible to get 100% in Unearthly Excavation, and even a higher percentage.
It's possible that you didn't fill in the Sand-Traps, or destroy the artifact?
Either way, if you are able to clock-off, it will show you the items you missed, much like in all other levels.
10% sounds like a huge chunk of the level to miss, so there must be lots more than just stuck items hanging around.

The office is much larger than the first 3 rooms and have everything you need. There are no codes for them anywhere in the game. You instead must "hack" the doors by entering numbers until the screen flashes, that will tell you that you got the right number in the right position, etc.

If the code is, say 2480, and you enter 2190, then the screen will flash when you enter the 2 and when you enter the 0, indicating that you got them right.

As for the Janitor's trunk, it can easily be cleared out by removing items from it when in the office. You can also reach the office from the Main Menu, for easy access in order to do this.
Take objects out of the trunk and store them in your office. Anything brought with from a worksite you were not fired from are considered trophies, and form your personal collection.
You may collect any items of interest to you.
Likewise, you may bring objects from your office to other worksites by leaving them in your trunk in the office.

Yes, i filled them with sand but i still did not get 100%, looks like i will have to try again ;-)




I have encountered some other problems / bugs, since the last update:

- I cannot collect the last 2 heads for the headhunter achievement, even if i lay them into the box and close it, then i puch out, my box cleans itself after every level and the
stuff in it disappears forever, i also cannot transfer the big banger or a goo jar, i think this came with the last game update, before that there were no bugs like this

- the game does no more save my progress when i puch out, i get my steam achievement for completing the level but in the game it does not show my best run and the percentage of cleaning


Maybe some other player have the same Problems?!

Hmm, odd. We're you not fired from a job? If you clock-out of a level that is not properly cleaned, you could get fired and not only lose all items brought with in the trunk from that level, but also your entire collection.

Ok this explains why my items are all gone. I once got fired because i wanted the achievement. But for all other levels i had more than 100 %

I have two levels left then i have them all completed. The fact that all items are gone does not affect me, what i did not like is that i cannot bring items (e.g. heads) to my office any more for the achievements and that the game does not save my progress although i got always more than 100%.
The only information i got for my cleaning percentage is in the office on the board, but in the menue it does not show that i completed the level and its percentage.

The levels that were not saved are: paintenance tunnels, hydroponic hell, of course uneartly excavation and athenas wrath.

I will continue to finish the last levels and redo uneartly excavation, if i cannot get the heads or other stuff for the achievement is not nice, but i can live with that. Maybe you will later find the solution, or maybe my game is somehow corrupted but its all not a major problem as long as i can play and finish the levels somehow, so do not worry too much, those problems may only occur for me, if other players have the same issues they can write it in this thread , too.
