Post subject:  Friend Connection Issues
As many on this forum, I'm having a lot of trouble connecting to my friends ; w ; /

At first we couldn't see each other at all. And we tried the steam round about method, we tried Hamachi and other methods of connection. I and him have both forwarded our ports and even allowed them through firewalls.

But still nada. We can see each other in the friend list now, and it says "connecting" at first when I click join on his name. But then it says immediately after "connection to host is lost " as if it tried for 4 seconds and was like Nah ain't gonna do it.

I've tried putting in his IP and his public IP and his IP with ;7777 at the end. And he's done the same with mine. And we've played multiplayer on other games through steam also so this doesnt seem to be anything but a Viscera problem.

We would all really love to play together and have been trying for a few days to get it to work. Any help would be appreciated thank you!

Gosh, that really sucks. You've run through pretty much everything I could suggest. :?

I really wish there was something more I could do help the issue, but I'm afraid our access to the inner workings of the engine are limiting any attempt to fix said issues.

The one thing I might suggest is checking to make sure that both ports 27015 and 27016 are also port forwarded. :think:

Beyond that...I don't know. Re-installing may help, a different computer may help, a different network may help. I just can't say with any confidence what WILL fix it...
