been playing a lot of splinter cell lately...yeah im a fan of the classics. i got really attached to the sc-20 or whatever it is...anyway the real thing is the fn-2000, its a great compact assault rifle with a great modular style, which means you can have a scope and some kind of attachment. i know we have a very good assault rifle as it is but how about something that is permanently silenced has a scope..maybe 3.5x zoom, and some kind of attachment, something RS original, maybe some kind of taser type weapon that ppl have previously posted about.

Meh. . .I'm not too fond of the FN-2000. Too Sci-Fi looking. But then again, that kinda fits with BW. I dunno.

I guess I'm withholding judgment.

yeah pretty sci-fi looking.

Since when is sci-fi look a negative thing?

Post subject:  fn-2000

I didn't say it was. Sci-Fi kinda fits with BW. But the FN2000 kinda bugs me. Honestly, it looks a little TOO ergononmic.

Jeah, it just looks about as badass as my kid brothers toy gun... :? :?

simple weapon ??

thats the funny looking thing like the Es-C90 in CS;S?

Author:  datsylel [ Wed Aug 16, 2006 5:29 am ]
Post subject:  fn-2000

Nope, you're mistaking the fn2000 with the fn p90. The p90 is in CS:S and they were too lame to licence the bitch, while allmost any other game used its proper name without any legal problems. CS just sucks when it comes to guns.

Hey, toy guns can look badass. ;)

That's my thing with the FN2000. It's so ergonomic that it has no "intimidating" factor. It looks sleek, but it doesn't look like a weapon.

Same for the P90.

well at least it looks better than any of the stock ut weapons and most of the halo ones, sure it doesnt look all rough cut like all the stuff we already have but thats the idea its made to be a tactical weapon, in real life if you do urban warfare the last thing you want is some big gun that someone can grab and then get the upper hand on u, thats where carbines, bullpups, smgs and pistols come in.

Post subject:  fn-2000

Well, duh. I understand the practical use of such a gun, and If I were doing heavy urban combat, the FN-2000 would probably be my weapon of choice. Either that, or one of the G36 series, but still. . .

The FN just ISN'T that fun to use in games.

That gun looks badass.

Post subject:  fn-2000

Yes, it does, but in function, it would be nearly identical to the M50.

Post subject:  fn-2000

Indeed it is badass looking, i love it! :D

And whos really cares its not like your gonna have the two guns fighting eachother (wait this has given me an idea !lol ). Plus even if its sorta acts like the M50, it only means that RS really has to do less when making the gun. Also it has optical zoom, which means RS won't need to make a M50 with a scope.

Speaking of manking it different, how about it has a higher arch of fire, and has a great range then the M50 (with a tiny bit less damage).

I fully support having that awesome M50 clone made!

It would be cool if it sounded like those ARs from Aliens, those had a really badass firing sound. "Remember, short, controlled bursts!" !lol

And just like the Aliens gun it could fire small grenades (maybe shrapnel or white phosphorus), 5 or so in a tubular mag above the actual launch tube. The GL would be loaded and pumped like a shotgun.

Maybe RS should consider making a replace of the AR then.
(j/k)

. . .Maybe I should have found an uglier picture of it.

Actually, I'm growing a little fond of this thing. I'd like to see it ingame. And hey, if I don't like it, I can just switch it off.

But just as the M50 isn't just a straight copy of the M4, the gun this gets made into shouldn't be just a copy of the FN2000.

Any ideas?

Oh, wait, RedShift seggested something. I don't think it should have a pump-loaded GL. Too much more useful than the M50's. Maybe it's grenade launcher should fire faster, less powerful grenades. So you could take out targets farther away, but with less damage and splash radius.

Post subject:  fn-2000

I like your grenade launcher idea, would make it pretty good, also it should fire farther and the slash damage as you said would be large.

Author:  Carsomyr [ Sat Aug 19, 2006 9:46 am ]
Post subject:  fn-2000

Yeah, faster = longer range, that's just basic physics.

But I also suggested LESS splash damage to balance it's increased range/speed and the ability to better hit moving targets.

Post subject:  fn-2000

than its perfect, so that would be alt fire. And the iron sights would activate the optcial zoom. Then what would the special function be?

Author:  Carsomyr [ Sat Aug 19, 2006 10:34 am ]
Post subject:  fn-2000

Hmm. . .On the real thing, there are a couple of LED's that work with a Laser sight to tell you how far to aim up to hit something with the grenade launcher, but I dunno if that would be a real fun feature ingame or not.

would be kinda cool :?

Oh and i found this http://wiki.bf2s.com/weapons/unlocks/f2000

Yes i know its all info from BF2, but who really cares, it still does the job by giving RS the right info they need.

also here's the wiki page on it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_F2000 don't mind the gun on the wiki page, it doesn't look as good as the one in this thread.
