Needler WMAAWP 'Mawp'

Manufacturer: Skrith Engineers

Ammo: 20-round disruptor dart clips

Primary Fire: Two-mode dart fire. Darts stay in target for several seconds before detonating. If more than four needles are embedded in the target, a chain reaction will occur and cause anything from moderate damage to complete vaporisation depending on how many needles detonate. Needles cannot penetrate vehicles, causing minimal to no damage to them.

Secondary Fire: Automatic fire, darts detonate on contact, allowing damage to vehicles, but not much. About as acccurate as the Skrith rifle, but has the firing rate of the ViPeR.

Fire Modes: Semi-automatic, accurate single shots, or a burst of four darts that fly in an erratic path.

This weapon can be dual-wielded with one handgun or sub-machinegun. Also, hitting the dual wield key while equipping the Skrith Blades with this weapon in your inventory will replace one of the wrist blades with this weapon, replacing the prepared secondary slash with the primary fire of the Needler. This will reduce the attack speed and damage of the primary blade attack, though.

I was thinking of making some battle gauntlet and I like this idea. :} It feels to be at SMG level and in nice skrith design.

But about the fire modes, if I use PF with burst, how does that work? I think the SF should be something else. Perhaps a short ranged almost melee lightning burst?

A name and somewhat similar function does not equal lawsuit. Does it have homing needles? Nope, it doesn't :p

ANyways, this sounds very nice. A little like a combo of my Panzer Corp wrist-mounted SMG I never managed to post, and my Tyrannus side arm, which shoots giant nails filled with plasma-based explosives. Lacks the nasty chain-reaction effect, though. All in all, I like it. Gives the Skrith a good... well, Skrithy sidearm/ light firearm. May I suggest the ability to make the darts stick out, allowing you to promptly stick people with the darts? That'd be a nice melee attack. The damage of the stab, and if you hit them more than once, they get vapourised by the darts.

It does have exploding chain-reaction needles though. That to me is the most interesting part of Halo's needler.

All "inspirations" aside, I love this kind of gun. Turning your enemies into volatile walking pincushions is very entertaining for some reason, and dual-wielding with the wristblades sounds pretty cool.

It starts with a 'A' and It used to be my favorite map.(because I could spawn titans and queens)
