I never really did like the original UT2k4 HUDs so i was wondering if we were able to get some HUDs that were more Ballistic Weapons friendly and had more customisable options, or even the ability to make your own and submit it for others to use.

I like this idea. Should sponsor this feature, you know.

I've tried looking into custom HUDs, but I couldn't find much info for how I'd go about making them...

I'd be willing to make the graphics for one I'd love to have (as well as other possible designs for others), if anyone would be willing to help me implement them through code and mutator.

New HUD ? Hmm, sounds interesting.

Personnaly, the only problem I see to the current HUD (well, it's not really a problem but it's annoying) is the fact that messages send by other players disapear quickly, if you're in the middle of a fight, you can't read at all what the other player is sending.

I would love to see a HUD with box displaying those messages

But a new HUD would be awesome! Some industrial styled HUD and a more science-fiction HUD. At least it gotta be more SOLID, Ut2k4 huds look like holograms.

Most of the time i play without hud nor crosshair.
But the thing i would like to see its when you dual wield weapon, ammo of the second weapons is displayed is hudbox like the standard ones.

I know you can press F2, but sometimes you don't have the time at all to press F2 and begin to read messages !

Anyway, it's still boring to have to press a key, stop to read all messages !
In Troopers, they have a dialog box which is quite cool, you can always take a quick look at it for messages and it doesn't stop the action and you can continue to run while quickly reading messages

Well i'd like a industrial themed hud for BW . But if your looking for another oone there was i thought a mod that changed the hud into previous UT one (don't know wich version )

I'd love a new HUD. loads of other mods have one, so BW definitely deserves one.

UT classic HUD was a good one, true, though not much differences with UT2004 HUD.

It would be cool to organize a HUD contest to see who will make the best one

What's the difference between UT2003 HUD and UT2004 HUD ?
I don't really remember seeing a difference between those...

There is an obvious difference between them. Just look at screenshots and compare.

UT2003 is a lot better in my opinion, the ammo counters and health metres and stuff has orbs that shrink when lower amounts, or something like that. They're a lot different, but I can't quite remember the specifics at the moment.

I'd like RS to make a minimalist-style HUD, something along the lines of Q3:Arena...

Minimalist HUD doesn't already exist ? When you press "minus" you can make things disapear from the HUD.

For UT2003 HUD yes, well, it takes more place on the screen but I don't really see a real difference ?
