You are not the only one. Sadly this can't be done in UT2.

I'm sure its doable in UT3.

Then again, Epic did majorly ♥♥♥♥♥ up the entire engine if you compare it to GoW... UT3 is not even gory by GoW standards.

Epic didnt put much effort into Ut2004 and UT3 gore.

The ChaosUT2 team managed to get burn marks on players with their flamethrower and napalm grenade weapons. I do remember some weird things happening with the player textures going transparent, though.

Exactly. It can't be done without unwanted side-effects (I should have added that part in my above post), DC confirmed this ages ago.

Dunno if it's related with it, but if you shot those physics affected barrels in Pueblin Canino, the decals become quite buggy, disappearing or moving as the barrel moved.
maybe it's the same from the ragdolls?

That never happened to me. I think those barrels are the only props that has physics in UT2004

Pueblin Canino has movable boxes too.

What sucks about UT3 is the UI, I mean OMG Epic!!! I got the PC version, I want a PC UI.

The current UI doesn't have the right to be labeled as one. Whoever designed it is hopefully looking for a new job by now.

hmm.... if you can add models to players when shot like in the stakeout mod im sure that you can add blood projectors on the player but im not sure
