I LOVE THAT MECH!

To be honest it was the only thing I liked out of the series.

i think this would be pretty good as it is open cockpit, decent speed and is still hard to take down with a rifle as they jump around a fair bit when they move...

RS could model a mech with that Matrix picture as a reference. It'd be lots of fun to fight them.

Thats the only thing I liked about the 2 sequals of Matrix. The first Matrix was cool too.

They're rather very mechanical looking, don't ya think? RS stuff is more Higher tech then open metal arms.
A little armor plating here and there would look cool, but still keeping parts vunerable and an open cockpit.

Somebody worked on the APU years ago for UT2k4. They got the suit modeled in game, untextured, with the arms tracking independently and firing link gun pulses, then mysteriously stopped working on it and fell off the face of the earth. It is one of the projects I miss the most.

UT2004 modding lost many great people throughout the years; Mr Evil, Mysterial, WMS, etc.

Is there any way to get a hold of what was done for it?

I would think RS style would be more like the APU-like mech suits used in the Animatrix for the 2nd renaissance. streamlined, but you can see how the APU would be a stripped down version of it. found a youtube clip of it, couldn't find a screenshot of jsut the mech suit

Well, reading all this I was thinking to the exosuit in Alien vs. Predator 2 (game) :

What do you think ? It's just a bit bigger than a normal human (basically it's the same as the exosuit Sigourney Weaver uses at the end of Aliens but this one has weapons), head is open for sniping.

It can jump really well (I would think about the manta's jump) and escape if necesserary.
It's quite slow and heavy too but not too heavy armored while offering a very good protection.

The weapons are :

-on left arm : first firing : Minigun, second firing : rockets
-on right arm : first firing : flame thrower ,second firing : laser

You could change the arm that was firing with "1" and "2" on keyboard.

I think it would fit quite well to BW, what do you think ?

I love the Aliens exo suit. Would love to see an interpretation of that in BW.

Yes, the exosuit in AVP2 is really cool (sad it was the only drivable in AVP2 ) and woud perfectly fit to BW.

When I read all the posts, I thought it would already be mentionned, the first description of Bulska is very like it, especially when poeple began to mention the open cockpit to be able to snipe the pilot.

why not an arm which can smash people away and throw tanks around?

Well, throwing the tank would a bit exagerated, that would maybe make the robot too strong ?
Or maybe just throwing light vehicles only like the scorpion, manta and raptor ?

we should have an open cockpit so that with the special fire the person should be able to use his normal weapon from inside the car (kinda like GTA), its really annoying when you are stuck in a manta and some tank is closing in on you, and you have a G5 but can't use it.

well more like the vehicle gets picked up by the robots hand, and not a gravity gun.

Would be fun to see a robot pickup a car and throw it against a tank, damaging both. Or throw a raptor at a group of people, SPLUT.

Would be a strong robot, but fun if its gonna be robot vs robot fight. Or Leviathan VS robot fight.

Sounds destructive enough to leave behind any weapon !

yes, someone make with the robot, QUICKLY! this idea is just too good not to have been already in the game.

But a robot, there are a few around. But not the Mecha suit styled ones.

And there's some mods featuring spider-legged mechas.
And the Hl2 Strider, Gunship and heli is a mod from too. Love the strider, it can strafe, crouch and do everything one can in Hl2.

HL2 Monsters + Vehicles

Well, I had to uninstall it because of some troubles with another mutator I use in perma.
I was searching for the strider alone but could not find it Though riding the strider is totaly awesome !

It's a shame how buggy that mod is in Invasion. The vehicles are good but the invasion monsters often prefer walking while halfway into the ground level. . .

I know, it's very buggy

And worst, the dev. of this mod decided to stop working on it
