Sounds pretty awesome! I don't play UTRPG much at all, but I'd be willing to give this a try.

You just need a close quarters combat specialist that uses shotguns, smgs, and a bit of melee, and have skills that aid in them laying in ambush or something.

Perhaps a Covert Ops fellow who can use silenced weapons more effectively than others?

Oh, and the Gun Slinger so has to be ultra-efficient at using the Wilson or D49.

Hmm Is there a mod where you get an item you can use to cloak yourself at the cost of adren that any one knows of? If so then I'll be able to make a skill to give them that item.



Whoa slow down, this is going to be like one of my first attempts at really coding, I don'k now how to code from scratch so I can't really do that, maybe if I gave the class special versions of the guns, like take them and up the silenced damage....but I think I'll end up with some compiling issues.
Oh and up to what pack should I include, I'm current only refrenceing V21 and its weapons but should I include BP 4, and maybe even Kellys pack?

You'll be best off just simply having compatibility with the official RS releases, or just simply BWv21, BWBPOneV21, BWBPTwoV21, BWBPThreeV21, BWBPFour, and BWBPFourB.

Hmm, so you suggest I only go up to BP4...though actually I could reference Kelly's pack, even if the person running the RPG didn't have it installed, the players just wouldn't get Kelly's weapons. Though I'd probably have the weapons listed in the description so players would be asking where those weapons were...

Oh yeah, I'm still open to ideas for classes, and even tell me what weapons could go to that class, if any of you want to. Otherwise I guess I'll think up of the weapon roster for it.

If you want something along the lines of weapon loadout classes and such... I can think of a few. The idea behind levels of each weapon is each level of the loaded ability.

Yeah, I know I left out the E23 VPR, A42, A73, all melee, and the staffs. The general idea is that you should only start with melee and then be able to instantly upgrade to the Reservist. That and to not have much in the way of energy weapons, as I just am not a fan of those things (plus, they are like really really sci-fi weapons (kept HVC-Mk9 only because we actually do have lightning devices in the real-world right now)).

Why would you need to be a demolitions expert to get good with shotguns?

It's so that you are forced to wait until you have at least the M806A2 and NRP57.

I'll have to figure out how to make it where you can only buy the next level of the class once you have all the weapon levels of the level before.

If you have the Druids RPG and decompiled it, maybe take a look into the Loaded ability. That should have what you are looking for, since you have to have the Weapons Master ability before getting the Loaded ability.

I just had an idea and want to get it written somewhere before I forget (I tend to forget things easily. Anyways, I'm thinking of making the secondary class have a required level, and the class that comes before it. So they need to be, as an example, level 45 to get the next class (in this example, level 45 is also the level that they can get the max level of the loaded weapons skill for their current class) and then buy that classes weapon pack. Of course they'll get to keep the weapons from their first class.

...heh this is a pretty complex plan, but I THINK I can get it to work

Sure, I do like abilities, but I really don't want to completely be reliant on them to determine what guns I have access to...

Well this RPG is basically only going to consist of Classes and the weapons for the class, won't have things like regeneration or retaliation (Retal, by the way, is the worst skill for PvP RPG)

Okay, I have an update, I've made a preliminary test for the RPG, there are only 3 classes so far, and not many weapons are given to them...but I'll upload it for people to try.
I recommend turning magic weapons off, of course, and limiting the stat caps a lot.
Here is the Class names, you can copy and paste them into a copy of the Ut2004RPG.ini so you don't risk ruining your normal RPG file lol

You mean Anti-Armor as in Anti-Tank, or Anti-Body Armor?
Also, are you talking about a weapon in one of the loaded skills, or making a suggestion for a class and its weapon type?

There is Kelly's AH-108 and AH-208, those two punch through armor like paper, also Melee weapons ignore body armor, Kelly's X-83 A1 Sniper Rifle its practically lethal with a body shot, head shot just destroys the victim with no chance of survival, well unless they have 199 health and 200 shield, but even then its going to hurt a lot. (It does over 300 damage to the head)

Also, any ideas that you guys have I'll gladly take into consideration, as long as its not something like asking for super advanced code, since I lack experience I can only do basic stuff.
If anyone wants to build off of what I do, feel free to! Just so long as you post it here as well so I can try it out, and see if I can also build on it

Yeah, this is only a very, very early "beta" I guess, so the classes aren't that balanced.

The X83 is actually completely armor piercing, armor has absolutely no effect on the bullets whatsoever. Its .50 cals are automatic kills to the head.

Though it's nice to know you're still working on this.

Eeep! That means that that gun is my worst enemy in conflict XD (1 weapon + Armor & Health is my setup =P)
Thanks, though I still need to make more classes and utilize more of the available weapons. I will be incorporating your V8 Weapons, Kelly, I figure since people are always asking things related to skills that they don't read the skill descriptions, despite that I'm still writing detailed descriptions for those who do read them. (Like me! ) So you don't need Kelly's weapon pack to run the RPG, just that if you do have it, you'll get 1 or 2 more weapons in your arsenal

Okay, I've tweaked what I have, and have made a single rpg into 2 different forms.

BallisticRPG = 1 class only

BWRPG-Pro = 1 class, then when you reach a certain level you can get another, provided you have the weapon skill of the prior Class.

Also I'm uploading this because I'm having trouble testing it myself, if anyone comes across a problem of the weapon skills constantly being on the "RemovedAblilities" list, and comes up with a solution, that would be of much help to me...

*NOTE: BWRPG-Pro uses the same classes as BallisticRPG, so the class progression won't make sense till I specialize a certain route.
Also, I plan to have branched classes like in certain RPG games like Maple Story, but that depends on the ideas you guys
provide.

I know this is going to be a double post. However, I'm not getting any feed back, so I'm guessing you guys don't care about Ballistics + RPG very much any more.

I can't do anything for now... I'm in the middle of moving. And I found one problem when I used it. None of the weapons shoot... the first weapon you use shoots but if you switch weapons they don't work

wow that's really weird, I didn't change the weapons, do you have magic weapon property chance to 0%?
