The choke is what controls how much the shot in a shotgun spreads. Different choke, different spread. I'm saying there should be a way to change the choke while playing so you can control that.

How is it possible to have to configurable in-game? I can´t think of any logical nor creative way...

Ok, the slow loading gametypes was our fault! sorry...
It's fixed now! It was cause our game would check through all the mutators installed to UT and not add arena ones to the list! This was a much slower process than I thought it would be...

Dripping blood spalts could be cool, we'll see in the future...

Choke sounds cool too... Maybe we should use the 'firemode' function for that... (It's not used on the shotguns)

Our shotgun pellets do weaken at range, plus fewer hit you at range as well...
Birdshot ey... Our shotguns actually spew out about 12 pellets per barrel. Aint that more like buck shot?
Speaking of which, we want to do various ammo type sometime in the furture... how bout Birdshot, Buckshot and Bullshot!

Having delayed bulelts would mean making them projectiles (like rockets or most UT things)... This would be realistic and was our initial implementation, BUT we had some big bad bugs. 1: Projectiles are slow when you have so many, 2:(the bad one) Fast projectiles have a problem where they don't spawn on clients if they hit a wall and died on the server to quickly! (test this out with even the UT guns... On a client, stand against a wall and fire the link projectiles at it... You'll see...)

Bad news about the bugs regarding non-hitscan bullets.
But the bugs can be fixed can't they? You guys could try to look for help where all the coding geniuses are like Atari's scripting forum.

I might have been only looking at the single barrel one, because that one definitely uses bird shot. I might have noticed something else about the other ones. Just look at the holes in the walls with the single barrel though.

A slincer for the Sniper rifle, you use the special ability button ti put the silencer on and to take it off!

Bird shot: Very small pellets, around 100-120 for a minimum per shell. Really not deadly to a person at anyy range beyond...hmmm...20, 30 feet? Still fun in BW though, for the single barrel.

Buck shot: Still pellets, but much more damaging per each. Around 12 or so per shell. At about 75 feet, you'd probably hit a person with 6-8 out of those 12 pellets.

Slugs: One big ball of lead, pretty much. Like a bullet, kinda. Pretty lethal if you hit something in a vital area. Buckshot same way too, though.

RuneStorm because you said you've fix the loading times for the BW Gametypes did you also fix the loading of UT2004 and the slow loading of maps even when not in a BW gametype?

Well, like you once said, "semi-realistic mod." They could change the ammo to "You picked up a box of slugs, birdshot, and buckshot." Kinda long, yeah, but it could be all one ammo type. So what if it's just a bit unrealistic? In fact, it's an actual hunting tactic to put in a slug, and back it up with a shell of buckshot. So you shoot a slug first, then buckshot. Might be a tad odd, but it's a small price to pay for more variety, right?

It is actually very unrealistic, too much to fit in Ballistic. :S
And multiple ammo types would just be fun, and when you switch ammo types an animation is played where you see the player change ammos.

Yeah, I guess...That post was referring to Uglypant's post. I actually love the idea of picking up different ammo for the same gun, but I kinda got caught up with
his post that it might be too drastic. In fact, that would make it a lot more realistic. You wouldn't get overloaded with ammo, too. A box slugs has 5 slugs, box of buckshot has 5 shells, and a box of birdshot has 25 shells. Just make it like that and you got nice realistic shotgun ammo. It would fit perfectly too...2 boxes of buckshot ammo or slugs would fully load the single and double barrel (not the handheld one) and fit nicely.

I agree, but 25 shells per pickup is a bit too much imo, maybe have 15?

Now the question is HOW would you change the diifeernt slugs maybe the special ability Key?

Or a special Switch Ammo Types button when more guns will have 2+ ammo types.

well non of the shotguns have any special abilities so making the slugs switchable with the special ability key sounds right!

Question is, what does the majority of us like better? The choke idea or different ammo types? Personally, I like the different ammo type idea better...more variety, and less like just some special use.

I like the ammo switching better, more gameplay twists.

OK, This maybe a double post but I was just wondering about the size of 1.7, will this be a patch or full release? I'm one of the last 56kers out here so a patch is much friendlier than full release.:unsure: Of course I'd find away to get it either way, but I was just wndering.:whistle:
