I've had this cool idea for an added BW mut ever since RS released those screenshots of the weapons being dual wielded.

BW Dual: This mut would make it so that your always dual wielding (Bjossi will hate this mut... i know it!lol).
In the mutators config menu you have a list of all current dual wieldable weapons with check off boxes beside them (check them off to have them appear in game kind of like the swap list from the main BW mut).

When your playing (in game) your given 2 randomly chosen dual wieldable weapons and they can be either in pairs like two pistols or two different guns like the XK2 and pistol. So every time you spawn in your given a two random weapons that have been checked off from the list. All dual wielding tricks apply, like RS confirmed gun tracking and so on. Also say in the list you only check off 1 gun than that gun will be spawned in pairs.

This would be a mut that like arena or loadout would have weapon pickups replaced with the large multi ammo pickup bags, you also still has to DD, SS, S and other powerups in the level, along with adrenaline and health. Also you can pick up enemies weapons when their dropped. And as always this can be used like any of BW mut with any gametype, and guns from other gametypes that are needed to play are selected as normal.

Options: Their would be 3 options.

#1; A check box were you can decide weather you want to have the weapons that have been checked off on the list to spawn in paris namely two of the same guns (check the box) or just have it random (don't check it off)

#2; Infinite ammo, pretty much says itself, but when you have infinte ammo all the ammo bags won't be ingame.

#3; 1 shot kill (cause they is no god darn damage meter), plus 1 shot kill dual magnums will be awesome.

This is a great idea apart from the infinite ammo checkbox, but I guess it shouldn't be a problem since it is optional.

Anyways, RS stands for RuneStorm.

And I don't like infinite ammo because then it is simple to just grab the most powerful weapon combo and use it all the time, it'd make you basicly invulnerable to people that have weaker combo.

Yeah i know what your saying, but i thought it would be moe or less used with just say 1 gun from the list in pairs so everyone has the same gun and has equal chance.

It'd definately be handy to have a fun, mindless match, but there is a mutator that makes ammo infinite, I even think it was ported to UT2004.

you know it'd be cool if for the Ballistic Weapons mut, you are given like this mut, (this would be another checkbox for the Ballistic Weapons mut) two random sidearms but when you still have the other weapons to pick up and stuff, would be cool to give Ballistic Weapons moe dual weilding cause i know they're won't be much. I think i should make a request for RS to do that. Cause than BW mut you could always be able to dual wield.

Oh and after playing BW again (after like a week of not playing it, i relaised that the muts are called Ballistic ****, so i change the name of my mut idea to better fit.

ahh okay, namely its just the weapons that can be held in one hand, namely all the sidarms and pistols. Unless the Archon universe has 4 armed Nali type guys running around, you will only be using the sidearms. Man i thought eveyone understood when i posted this that its just taking the dual wielding part that gonna be in BW and making it a mutator so that, besides having it in normal modes you can have it by itself. cause i don't know about you Bjossi, but i feel that most of the sidearms are neglected.

yeah better but the pistol redshift sponsored is really cool, i'd rather use that one than the first BW pistol.

Yeah the sidearms are useless, especially when playing with the Ballistic Weapons mutator, i'd rather have an option for that mut to have you spawn with an extra sidearm, to make them more useable. so that besides having a pistol you would also have another sidearm to help you fight the enemy.

There aren't enough sidearms yet to make that a good feature, there are only 4 ranged sidearms not counting the XK2.

yeah well SB said that in the Newstuff thread that the XK2 will be dual wieldable, plus the two new Redshift sponsored guns, their dual wieldable. that makes 7, which is better than 4, plus you can't really expect that once the dual wielding version of BW comes out, RS will make more more dual weapons which means that the sidarms will get more popular.

They should make more sidearms with or without thinking of dual wielding, look at all the guns that are available as main weapons and then look at the small collection of sidearms.

yeah i also forgot to add the Magnum, so that makes 8 so far which i think is less than half as many main guns their are.

Yeah i'd like to see some really cool sidearms made, those two new ones the Machine-Pistol and 10mm Pistol are the kind of new sidearms/pistols we need. it would give the BW mut a whole new feel, being able to choose between more than 3 different pistols.

So it does. I think between the original shotgun and RedShifts new one, we've got plenty of buckshot flying around.

If there's gonna be another shotgun, let's try and make it energy-based. Or firing slugs instead of buckshot, though maybe that would be better for a canister gun.

dual weildable guns are;

XK2, M806, D49 Magnum, RS8, XRS10, MRT6, A42, X3,.. i think thats it :D

thing might be a mutator, or a Tab on the options menu..
