I had the idea that you can specify how many weapons you can hold at once. This is from Halo and FEAR. You can only carry 2 or 3 guns at the same time. To pick up a weapon just press E. If you have a weapon slot free it goes there, if not, it switches the gun ur holding to the gun on the floor. Would be smart to give guns on the floor a lifetime, else it would become crowded with guns. |

Actually, I think they're already planning on implementing some thing similar to this already. |

Sounds good
better limit weapon is in loadout (when selecting guns) 1x close combat 1x sidearm 1x grenade 2x heavier weapons that is good hold ballance change weapons when pressed "E"(repleace currently holded) but one tip: pickup only guns what chosen with crossahair that will fix all bugs with pickuping |

I love this idea, its so simple yet so awesome, it worked great in Halo and games like it, and would easily work well here. I smell Loadout becoming even more deeper. |

Hmm... I would love this. Especially for loadout. Just have those 5 weapons be all you can carry and if you want to pick another one up you need t odrop one. Works for me.

Yup Its also not logic that one person can carry 20 weapons... This max weapon holding idea should work something like this: For each weapon type (Melee, Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Grenade) you can say how many you can carry of that type and you can combine multiple weapon types. Hard to understand with these words... Think of it as groups. At the beginning each weapon type is one group. You can put Multiple weapon types in one group. There is a max weapon hold for each group. I hope that makes it more understanding... heh... |

This would lead to some very interesting gameplay strategies. If you can only carry a select amount of guns, discussions on "whats the best gun" will turn into "what is the best combinations of guns" Halo already has alot of discussions of the best pair of guns put together and how they are useful in different situations. BW has alot more integrity than Halo, so this will result in a new set of battlefield tactics altogether: example. You can go heavy power and use the G5 and HCV but you sacrafice versatility You can go long range with the battle rifle and railgun but lose close range effectiveness Need speed? Carry pistols only but you lack power or just go even all and grab an assault rifle and shotgun. Lots of different possibilies and different choices open different opportunities. To make it work properly dont do something like counterstrike does and limit what weapons you can have in each catagory. That what Loadout is for. Allow free selection for multitudes of different combo's and their effects. But of course add a control that lets you determine the number of weapons you can carry. So if you want Halo style gameplay you can also set it to 2. But for the "more-the-merrier" types like me, I can set the weapon carry max to 10 |
