this idea is to allow the player to play Bw and modify Bw's weapons through a weapon settings menu ,to there liking
for the weapon modify properties you have
-damage
-extras(attachables)
-clip and ammo capacity
the extras feature is ment for small arms only.
yet the heavy weapons have extras as well but they are just laser sights.

for example imagine the defualt M50 without a camera or attached grenade launcher
instead its attacbles are replaced with a silincer and laser sights. just imagine the possiblitys for players having there own personal modified weapons for Bw :)

This sounds like WeaponStuff with extra features, just use WS and have fun. Clip size and that stuff could be fun playing with, nothing that can't be added later on. :)

Attachments is way too complex to implement, the weapons have different shapes ya know.

And which idea does your post apply to? The first is doable, but I'm a little against it because I think the weapons should have hardcoded attributes like damage, clip size, etc.

As for the secondary, it is doable as well, but extremely time consuming and the resault is not even close to make the effort worth it.

Well attachments, like lasers, GLs, Scopes, etc, were an old plan of ours. We wanted to have a basic chasis gun like the m50 without the cam, GL and lasersight, then you can buy or find exras and change them and so on. There would also be general purpose scopes, silencers, bayonettes, etc. Alt mags would be possible too. This whole system is complicated though, with compatability between differnet attaces and different shaped guns. It might come laaaater on...

As for the customiza properties, this is doable, like range, aim, recoil, damage, etc. We can think about something like this, but it is likely that customizeing people will have a very hard time getting things balanced and there probably wouldn't be too many people wanting to put that much time into it, so we would have to see if it would be worth our time to do teh feature...

I suggest not doing it, just for the sake of making the mod feel like a mod rather than a game test. Some stuff needs to be hardcoded.
