That's a good idea, but I don't recall seeing that in HL2. Can you tell me where?

yeah don't remember there ever being two bars in HL2. Sure you aren't talking about some other game like Halo? |

he doesnt have Halo ^^ I do. I played Half Life 2, but I never watched the corsair so carefully. So I dunno, could be true. Would be cool to see though, but 1 thingy, The suit of Gorden acts really different then the shield of UT2004. (lol if the suit has 0 power, how can it safe gordens life in bio-hazard stuff then?) |

You know, I was kind of wondering about that not long ago. My guess is that the charge of the suit is just meant as armor-protection. The suit itself is still worn by Gordon when the charge is out.

yeah, he is always wearing it giving him semi protection from bio chemicals, and it gives him so health when poisened. and i guess that the shield is just like it is a shield to absorb damage and keep Gordons health points undamaged. |

Plus, remember the suit's warnings? It delivers morfine for Gordon when the health is getting low.

The special crosshair can be reached by a command in the console. It makes the two semi-circular bars around the dots show health and ammo. |

ah, so whats the command? and does it only work in HL2 or does it work in HL2DMS |

It's under Mouse in Options. It's called Quick Info. I don't know if it is in DM though. In Smod, a nice mod for HL2, typing crosshair 2 in the console also gives you CS:S style crosshairs. |

hmm.. maybe.. it might be a bit obscuring.. guess we'd have to see how it would look..

It is possible to add these bars in a very non-obscuring way, you just have to use your imagination. |

Well, I did forget those, obviously.
'Blood loss detected' it says as well. I love how that suit "talks" to you when you take damage.

Ohhh, the HL2 crosshairs! I always liked those, made it a bit easier to keep track of health and ammo in an intense firefight... (Considering that the player will want to keep his/her eyes on the crosshairs for most of the time) Since folks seem a bit confused about 'em, heres some reference info: -The "quick info" crosshairs were in all HL2-based releases (HL2, LC, EP1). -The bars were pretty small, they basically surrounded the crosshair on the left and right side, and could easily fool one into thinking they were actually part of the crosshair initially. -When ammo/health became critically low, the bar would make a little flash (hardly noticable) and change to a red color (To alert the player, obviously). I think this would be a pretty cool addition to BW myself... |
