I've been playing JW alot now, like 24/7. But what really gets on my nerves is that the bots barely engage in combat. They just go around the map scavenging and doing nothing. It makes JW really boring, and I don't wanna play online. Is there anyway you can fix this? !grr

It's removed. Don't worry about it, just try not to do it again. ;)

What difficulty do you have the bots on? They seem fine to me on Godlike. If you got them on a harder difficulty and still got the problem, maybe try lowering the amount of junk available, there should be a number in the mutator menu. It might keep the bots from trying to scavenge as much when there isn't as much to scavenge.

I always have to run after them. I even removed shields, health kits and Udamage. It's even on godlike difficulty and they run away like pansies.

Hmm... never noticed that before. Well, they are planning on improving the AI, I think they'll probably fix this sometime soon.

well its practically the same thing with BW just alot less. half the time i'm just slamming some bot in back with a G5, but thats just Epics crappy AI pathways.

Epic should think about programming an AI that learns the map by it's own attention, this was done with a custom-made bot in Quake 2.

I have played very little JW, but they did attack me though. I was slaughtered in the matches because I was basicly cornered by crazy bots that wanted me very dead. !mistrust

Thats pretty cool, the quake 2 bot I mean.
I don't think I ever played a regular bot match, but I did play against my bro on lan with a few bots, and they didn't seem too dumb to me, either.

UT2007 doesn't focus on AI at all, it is obvious that they are focusing on graphics and gameplay. But I do hope they put more work into the AI this time around.

UT2007 will bring major advances in the artificial intelligence that controls UT bots, as well as the way in which players communicate with them. UT2007 players will be able to give bots specific orders using their own voices. My bots only seem to want to attack either just me, or just Miko. Maybe this is a bug with enemy prioritizing?
