I am not certain we will see another JW release, but if you have some junk you would like to contribute feel free to do so at your leisure. |

Yep. You can release your own Junk Wars stuff whenever you want. Just put it up in the JW Mods forum. |

I just got a into a little problem. I'm making a new weapon with sounds and stuff, but I can't get the new sounds to be like I want them to. I dont mean that they don't sound right, what I mean is the way that they are reached by the IM_ script file. With the orginale sounds, all the sounds inside the sound package was linked together be a file that resembeled their names, like this example: When, say the Slegde Hammer hits solid concrete, The IM_SlegdeHammer file has the line HitSound something and then reads JunkWarSounds.slegde.slegde-concrete It is refering to the Slegde-Concrete file locateed in the sound file, but it doesn't contain any sound, instead " gives the IM- file informasion on wich files that it will randomly change between. If you look at the properties of the Slegde-Concrete you'll see that it refers to slegde-con1, 2 and 3, wich is real sounds. My problem is that i don't know how to create one of thoes. Any sugestions? |

I'll check into it. I didn't mess with the sounds yet, so I'll have to learn it.

ok, sry for putting this in the wrong forum, but i just solved the sound problem, soon i might get picture of the thing i'm making, and i'll post it in the mod forum. Edited: For thoes that dont know, you just need to go the sounds box in unreal, then the file and click new sound group, I apperently just skipped right over when i tried to find it

I hope that it will be ported, but nothing really needs to be changed other than whatever is needed to port it, methinks. Not a clue if it will or not, though. |

ok, i'm not gonna complain about the junkwar mod "becouse it is great", but one thing that I really wish could be enhanced was the third person animations. I looks so good when you swing a blade or block against something in the 1st persion view, but when doing the same thing looking in the 3rd, its just the same swing to the right, no matter if its a little broken bottle or a huge slegdehammer. Don't mean offend the creators but that irretates me a bit, when you first made the one view looking so great, why not the other

I agree with you, it does take some away from it by only having it in one view... The reason why they made one view so good is because it isn't nearly as easy to add animations to an already existing skeleton, while making it in first person, you make everything you want from scratch, much easier that way.
I have a feeling if they ever make player models for ut2004 they probably will add melee animations to it, assuming they're making brand new animations for it. Ut2007 on the other hand, has a tool built in for adding new anims to existing animation sets. At least, I think thats what it was... |

its f**king hard to make 3rd person anims, without actually animating it!! u have to move every bone in the code, at the right time.. sucks and wasnt really worth it to make a ton more
