I know it's only one small thing, but although the vehicle damage slider works on vehicles, the weapons still do a ton of damage to nodes and power cores. For example, I had a tanks minigun doing barely any damage to a power core, but the XK2 was doing about 3 points of damage per second. So I'm suggesting a power node/core damage slider.

That is what has been bugging me as well. The Shotguns are the deadliest. You are pretty screwed if an enemy starts shooting at the core with one.

oh God that'd be way too many slider maybe a slider for shotguns, rifles ,machine guns, grenades (would include the M50 greande) , bombs, and G5 RPG!

I think they should remove the damage slider for players and only have them for nodes, vehicles and other ONS objects.

I say this because it creates a basis for cheating online. :S Your foe takes almost no damage while you get gibbed by a single pistol bullet. This is possible as far as I know, but maybe the game will auto-change the setting, I don't know.

yeah defults are great but by having sliders for shotguns, rifles ,machine guns, grenades (would include the M50 greande) , bombs, and G5 RPG.

These would only affect the nodes & power core (no affect from them on anything else)

So now if this gets into 1.8 we'll have sliders for players (should be dropped), Sliders for vehicles- exposive and bullet silders (keep) and power core sliders (crap thats alot of sliders!)

holy crap people:laugh: ok ok.. we'll try and get that one in as well..

and the damage sliders shouldnt affect online play.. i mean, its a server-side option.. clients have no control over it.. in the config mut menu, there is preferences, game rules, blood and so on.. game rules is all about server options:)

For god sake do not listen to the idea of a slider for every weapon! :blink:

Use WeaponStuff, it has damage sliders for every weapon.

And I still think the slider for player damage should be removed, I think you guys should stuck some aspect of the gameplay so it can't be changed.

i also say that the damage sliders for players needs to go!

Bjossi i was just posting sub groups of weapons that are used so that indtead of having 20 sliders you only have like 5 or 6!

Afaik WeaponStuff and BW aren't compatible, but it's been a while since I tried it so I could be wrong. Anyway, like I said the defaults are good enough for me!

that Core/Node thing might take more effort than we thought:( after looking over the code (we wanted to do it in the v1.71 patch today), we found more UT2k4 coding BS.. we may have a slim chance at it, but u will have to wait for another release:ohmy:

omg.. so much stuff.. now we gonna have 2 make a damage menu in the options:blink: (if it goes in)

as for the coding BS.. the players and vehicles are Pawns.. whereas the nodes are like a pathnode!! we may have a slim chance at it like i said tho.. maybe..:)
