it'd be an option that once checked would make it so that every time you die ALL the weapons you were holding are thrown so they can be picked up by others, instead of just one.


These are options, and being so will most likely need the 1st tab menu (shown when you go into config swapper), it would be under all of the stuff in it. these are checkbox options, because none can be run at the same time as another so namely 1 at a time. in these options the weapon you are holding when killed will (always) be tossed.

-Throw All held Weapons
-Throw Random # of held weapons (these wouldn't include the weapon your holding)
-Throw All weapons/(X # of weapons) in Set (sets are like sidearms, shotguns, machine guns etc)

These options can be checked off (used) with other of these options on.

- Don't Throw weapon in hand

I always wanted that :D And combined with the max weapon hold it can be a very cool feature, so you won't get a mess if you kill five people with a big explosion and they all got all weapons

I remember having a mutator that did exactly that, though I don't remember if it was for UT2003 or 4, gotta look into that.

It'd look more like you cracked open the ballistic pinata aside from rippin sum1 lol, but yeah definitely a good idea.

Though in the UT200x version, the weapons dropped will not respawn. Which is a big plus, heh.

Alright, i've thought up a few new things to add. I'm also just adding this to the first post.

True, but then this is the Ballistic Weapons mod, but whatever. Oh and reason behind why i thought up that toss the set (or # of sets) is because i thought it would be good cause then you could set it on sidearms and every time a guy dies you'll be able to pick up his sidearm.

I've stumpled onto a couple of mutators like that, one i remember was called "pinata", and there was another too that i dont recall the name of.

Thouse would probably work, and if not, they should show you how to code such a mutie for BW.

This kind of thing should not be limited to Ballistic Weapons, I'd hate that very much since BW isn't the center of the universe like some of you seem to think.

Yeah, but have you seen the devs release any muts besides bloody hell which affect UT2k4/ UT2k4 weapons and not BW. Of course not, they are working on the ballistic Weapons mod. Though i'm sure they could write out how they more or less did it for BW, so that someone (maybe even you Bjossi) could use that as a temp plate to create a UT2k4 mut.

What does Bloody Hell do anymore? I'm confused about the mutators because they all have the same config menu, I don't know if Bloody Hell is even needed to get all the fancy blood since by default it looks great.

Bloody Hell mutator is in the BW gametypes automaticly, but the mutator can be used for other gametypes without BW too, like Jailbreak with ChaosUT weapons.

In response to questions about pinata mute: I preferred the pinata 2k3 version, as it tosses out weapons, ammo, udamage, and adrenaline, and lets you toggle how long the spilled items stay. It works fine in 2k4. I tried the Pinata 2k4 remake a long time ago (different author), and remember that I liked the 2k3 version more - had more options or something. I deleted it out of my archive and haven't looked for it since.

As for the spilled items respawning, that generally doesn't happen, but also depends on what mods and mutes you are using in combination with the pinata mute. I've seen it before but don't recall the combinations that provoked it.

The file was called 'pinata2k3_v1_1b.zip' if you want to go hunting for it.

I really hope DC will seperate the config menus for the mutators though. BW Loadout would have the loadout menu only, Bloody Hell would have the blood menu only, etc.
