Post subject:  Fastest vehicle tuning (for the Scorpion)

How do you tune your Scorpion when you drive the car? Do you atempt to try being faster by use of corners, straights, brakes, or a combo of the 3? Is your car an on-road racer, or off-roader?

Reason I'm asking is because I wanna try to get the best tuned vehicles for a set of racing maps using the old Epic level's terrains. For exmaple, a good course is using a figure 8 from ONS-Torlan, but it's an off-road course, and a rally Scorpion would easily beat a road race tuned Scorpion, but on something like AS-RobotFactory, a rally Scorpion would only have the advantage on the bumps in the beginning, but the road racer would get a better corner and have a higher top speed in a straight.

Yep, I'm gonna do converting of certain levels for the use of racing from one point to the next, using Assault mode. I'm thinking of using the following levels (with more to come later):

ONS-Torlan
ONS-RedPlanet
ONS-Dria
ONS-ArcticStronghold
AS-RobotFactory
AS-Junkyard (full racing conversion, not simply just the same course)
CTF-Grassyknoll
CTF-FaceClassic

Google the Scorpion Gt and GTS I run them on my server and they are FAST. I also Have a Mirage Scorpion that has 4 wheel steering.

Wel I googled the GT and GTS, and found I can't download.... maybe you could do an upload here for me? I just got that speedo mut and I'd need to now test how fast my F1 Scorp really is. It feels like 150 at least...

Edit: Well damn, the speedo only goes up to 100MPH.... and my car broek that easily.... and I still feel it's very slow to me....

Ai, but after I get my car tuned, it'll be able to beat the heavily loaded car you like DXH. I'm trying to mess with the car's mass as the way to simulate the downforce, and it worked well last time I did so. It just requires a bit more in the acceleration department then.

But yeah, this killed the speedo... It could break 100 in 1st gear if it wanted to!!

Holy crap! I just got the car (my F1 Scorp) tuned a lot more and.... god.... it EASILY goes 100MPH+ in first! I've never even got to throw it into 2nd yet... Also, it is a monster in turning, absolutely kills the handling of the Scorpion or the Scorpion GT/GTS! 60MPH turn with only a 512UU radius....

You could get inspiration off of UnWheel, if you want. They have vipers, dumpsters, and other sorts of vehicles, but I don't know if you would be satisfied by the speed they have.

Only thing they have I want to get is the boost feature.... I use the track Colorado sometimes actually. I've got a beta 2 of my F1 Scorp, PLUS a WRC Bender I've been trying to get fixed up. I'm thinking of adding in some new vehicle skins when I get done with the tuning...

Yeah.... I got new sounds for the F1 Scorp. And YES, this is a REAL F1 engine I used to get for the sounds!

Got them already. BTW, I've got another (superiorly) faster car now that should not spin out very easily, if at all really. I found the Karma parameters to help me out now on that topic! I'll upload it after I get some more fine tuning done to it...

I dont mean Unwheel I mean horton vehicles.By the way Have you tried ut2xfunrace?

Nice, now I use this map for my testing!!

Lets me figure how the Unwheel cars do... I also decompiled his cars to see what he did to make them grip so well and it turns out he is doing exactly what I was thinking he did.... mess with the Karma parameters!! And now I can have my car stick to the road like an F1 and make super turns!!!

I guess it's a Beta-3 now... But I'll upload it after I get some more done to the car...

Well Now I know what i can use when I code In Supermotoxl's cars when I get the chance Andsince i cant find the ones he did For unwheel he said i can use his 4x4evo models

And adam can you tell me how to decompile the cars in hortonvehicles so I can use Just about the same code for these cars?

Try to get the StuffSwapper and then use the StuffImporter2.2 to decompile the files. I belive it's the third bar on the top menu bars. Decompile U to UC is the function.
