First, I want to start with the fatigue.

In every good RPG game you have a mod that will tweak its effects.
I want to see that in FPS.

Example:
Make the depletion faster so it can really get to 0.
When you run out of fatigue, make splotches of black to resemble blackout.
If this is possible in the engine, make yourself a temporary ragdoll to resemble collapsing. And after a few seconds, stand back up normal. (Optional)

But, this would make you a sitting duck :P I was wondering that if the BW team can influence Bots to do it too. Otherwise, the collapse only affects YOU.

Gore: Make better limbs and sound effects for gibs. The default one sounded like a plate of jelly burst. For better limbs, I mean different gibs for each RACE.

Gen Mo' Kai: Teal-ish blue-ish limbs

Nightmare: Crippled pale body parts

Skaarj: Green or Brown or Grey scaly limbs

Cybernetics: Limbs with Wires sticking out

Robots: Hmm.... give a facelift to the default robot gibs.

Mercaneries: Limbs with bones sticking out to resemble previous joints

Juggernaut: Beefed up Mercenary gibs


Blood: Modify some of the blood colors... maybe a little bit.

Nightmares should have a more scarlet dark red blood color, and robots should have more of a black tone to their blood.

Blood spats: I was thinking about it.... if you make a certain projectile, can you make something like:

If the player is shot at the left rib cage, and the closest bone is in the middle, Make a projectile with a invisible line that stretches all the way to where the guy got hit, and there's the bloodspat. If he got shot right where there is a bone, then that doesn't need to be done.....

Drag trails: Make it have a deeper blood color... and maybe have a smooth continuous line of blood instead.

Blood pools: Maybe the small blood pools should be larger.

I like your ideas for the Blood and gibs but the Skarrj should still have green gibs! And yes Drag trails need to be deeper in color and continious!

Wouldn't that be hard to code or something?

The UEngine 2.5 has little support for area based damage and projectors, unfortunately.

And the Skaarj have always had red blood by the way. ;)

than why is it Green in UT2k4? Is it just to say that they're alien and not at all releated to humans!

we are definetly gonna revamp the gore in future versions.. most of those suggestions were already intended.. :)

as for the ragdoll while still alive.. we want to do that!! we would have to figure it out tho ;)

UglyPants, I take it that you haven't played the original Unreal games. The Skaarj had very red blood back in 1998. :)

That would be absolutely awesome! ...and weird (in a good way) from 1st person perspective. :D

Hope corpse mutilation and ragdoll-gib combos will also be possible, that's The Way It's Meant To Be Played (TM)!

it reminds me of a mod i played, it was based on UT and had bodies that would fake death by lying on the ground than whoud get up again!

As a side note, jumping currently deplets your stamina. Dodging does not. This ought to be fixed.

No.... Skaarj probably now have green blood because the ones in UT99 are hybrids.

Genetics: the offspring of genetically dissimilar parents or stock, especially the offspring produced by breeding plants or animals of different varieties, species, or races.

Generally: something of mixed origin or composition.

If you read the Wikipedia entry for Skaarj, you'll find out that Liandri had human/skaarj hybrids, and this time in UT2004, we have the real menace. :P I was so shocked by it.

Just 1 more offtopic post: the Unreal Skaarj (jes, the orinigal ones) had red blood. No, not all aliens had rted blood so it wasn't because they didn't make ANY alien with green blood, so there's no excuse for the skaarj's blood suddenly turning green.

skaarj will proably have Green blood with our gore..

and dodging should drain stamina.. we'll try getting it done..

I think running at all should drain stamina, and it drains faster when you are loaded with weapons. But healthpacks give you 25 HPs and 25 stamina points as well. :)

i'm starting to think that the 2 mains aims of Ballistic Weapons is #1; crazy nice looking guns and #2; an added does of crazy over the top Gore effects (which i happen to love)!

If you love gore, you must be dissapointed by the modern games that have lame gore like Doom 3, Quake 4, HalfLife 2; to name a few. :O

I acculty like the gore effects in HL2, cause the blood from shooting people more than makes up for the lack of gore! The only gore in it is when you can cut zombies in half with the gravity gun and a saw blade! But yes most modern shooters suck badly in the gore department! F.E.A.R and UT2k4 are the only real gore filled games (if you think about F.E.A.R doesn't really have that much gore! just has effects like you shoot someone with a shottie and the blow up in a cloud of blood!)!

I do like the gore effects in FEAR, and the blood in HL2, and I hope I will like the future effects in Ballistic even more.

In real life there isn't much blood that flies out of a body after getting hit, but of course there are a few drops.
