Well, last night while playing to BW with a friend online on DM-DC-Canal I had an idea for new gametypes.

Well, the names aren't great but hey, it's an idea :D

First, Staff standing (I'm not really inventive in names right now lol) :

-One random player get the Nova Staff or the Dark Starr (as he like) and it's the only weapon he will get through the entire game.

OR :

-All players begin without the staves, once the first player kill another player, he gets the options of choosing a staff.

-The others have a loadout options with all weapons EXEPT the Dark Starr and the Nova Staff.

-The goal of the game is to kill the owner of the staff, once killed, the killer become the owner of the staff (once again he can choose Nova or Dark starr) and loose all his weapons. The killed player becomes a normal player without staff.

-The owner of the staff would have one major advantage, once he has enough souls and morph in Demon / Angel, he stays until he's killed (no more time limit), and for gameplay purpose maybe we should give him some advantages like health regenaration / regenerating armor / ammo regeneration so he won't be so easy to kill.

So, the goal of players would be to quickly kill the staff owner before it becomes angel /demon.

Second gametype, which the name fits quite well : Nemesis :

-The game plays exactly like Staff Standing (how lame the name) but this time, one player get the Dark Starr and another get the Nova Staff (now they can't choose)

OR :

-All players begin without staves, the first who kill a player, get the option to choose a staff, the second players who kill another, get automaticaly the other staff.

-The staves owner still get big bonuses, unlimited angel / demon and can only use one staff.

-Players still have access to all weapons exept the staves.

-Since they're nemesis, the goal of staves owner is to kill the other staff owner, if a player kill a staff owner, it get the staff of the one he killed, if a staff owner kill the other staff owner he gets 10 frag point (5 if it's not an angel / demon) and the one who is killed, respawn with the staff but empty soul jauge.
Staves owner would not get any frag for killing a normal player.

-Normal players would only gets one frag point ... (well, I'm not sure about the scoring system yet)

Thinking of Alien vs. Predator 2, there's a gameplay I loved : Survival.

Let's think of it for BW :

-At the begining of the game, the server choose either the Dark Starr or the Nova staff.

-All players spawn with loadout the choose without staves.

-All players have to kill the other players... Once the first blood arrive, the killed player get the Dark Starr or the Nova Staff (following rules of the server) and loose his loadout.

-Then, every other players becomes a team (so they can't kill each other).

-The owner of the staff has to kill has much player has he can and once he kill a player, that player loose his loadout and become another staff owner (so far 2 owner of the Dark Starr or Nova Staff).

-The game goes on, until all players become staff owners !

-The winners are the players who did not become a staff owner.

-The game happens between a certain time limit, once the time is out, players who were not killed and not possessing a staff win (so more than one player can win this game if they team up correctly).

-Basicaly, you have one life, once you're killed, you become a staff owner (with or without the bonuses I spoke off earlier, let's the server decide), if a Staff owner is killed, then he simply respawn to try to kill the remaining players without staves.

I find that idea could be nice because it seems a majority of poeple think the staves are killing the original gameplay of BW.

So, like this, BW would keep it's universe with a bit of fantasy :d
Some players would be able to fight only with their prefered weapon : the staff !
While the others could keep the original BW weapons.

Kind of an agreement between those two, isn't it ?
Anyway, even without this, those gameplay would be fun !lol

Well, like all the request here (I believe), you don't ask anyone to do it, but maybe that would be an idea that would seduce the dev. team and so...

Love these ideas, and I got another one to throw up on the plate o' ideas.

Champions

Basically, this would be a mutator that would work soemthing like evolution. It could be for teams or otherwise, but after someone aceives a certain stat or score or whatever (where the evolution loadout comes into play, it'd be configurable like that), that person loses his current armament and is given a staff (or configurable feature, to allow, say, a flame thrower or a lightning gun?), Nova Staff if on blue team, Dark Star if on red, and random or choice, whichever works best, if not in a team game type.

Some things for the mutator would be alowing a configureable max amount of staffs on the field at any time, and setting up bonuses for the Champion, as well as possibly choosing what weapons are given to the champions for each team.

Also, the champion should be given a different appearance, like glowing blue or red, depending on team, and/or carrying the team's banner on him, so it makes him a high priority target, but bonuses will allow him to make the risk worth it.

Another neat feature would be to give nearby allies some sort of bonus.

Basically, this wouldn't change the rules of the game drastically, but would give the leading players on the team an advantage, but make them much more visible.

What do you think "Feature Requests" stands for ? ;)
If I remember, BW is so great mainly because of fan idea, isn't it ?

Plus, I never "ASKED" anyone to do it, learn to read :p I've talked about ideas and it's all what this forum is about !!!!
