Here's my idea, we make the Skirth Energy Rifle alt fire (the slashing thingy), and put it for the special function key. Now the Skirth Energy Rifle's new alt fire should be sorta like the goo gun alt fire in UT2k4, namely you hold down the alt fire which charges up the gun and adds fire power to it than you release it which fires a large (size depends on how much more ammo was added to it) energy burst which can damage multiple enemies and has the blast radius a little larger than the UT2k4 rocket launcher! |

Sounds like the plasma gun from Archon Weapons. That was a really fun weapon to use, but I'm kinda hesitant to move the bayonets to a specail function. . .people wouldn't use them as much. I really like the idea, but maybe as a seperate weapon. . . |

yeah i was just thinking of some powerful blast for Skirth rifle! Buts its up to the devs to choose, plus it was a werid idea i had thought up after eating a bagal! |

How about using the special key to switch back & forth between melee and charged fire? Could also be used to swap features on other guns... Anyway, charged fire sounds good, it would make the Skrith rifle a bit more useful at medium range. |

*votes for beam weapon alt-fire* Skrith sidearm has a charged shot, and the one for the rifle just sounds like an alien version of the M50 grenade...why not have alt-fire as a focussed beam of light with unlimited range, but with an overheat bar to prevent continual use |

Putting the melee attack to the special fire key is not a good idea, since the melee attack is just not that special to deserve it... |

u dont like the melee attack?? crazy.. its real handy.. especially when reloading.. mostly we use to just kill players without firing.. sneak up on em, and then jab em good |

Uh, wouldn't that be a bit... spammy?  I'd rather have it shoot extra powerful bolts (say 5 x standard DP) with splash damage, or maybe a charged hitscan beam like the Skrith sidearm, only twice as powerful.

what if the alt fire a grenade like plasma ball with charged fire and it had splash damage! This mode would be mean't to shoot targets farther away rather than close up! |

Id could be like: You can charge it up. The charged version would do more damage and may have splash damage. In all other ways it would be similar to the uncharged version. As soon as it is fully loaded you can keep it charged, but it would still drain from your ammo. This would cause you to make a tradeof between wasting ammo and not having a charged shot ready. It rifle would create a constant stream of plasma if you keep charged shots (only grahic effect) |

I like that idea, shoot quickly to not waste ammo. It'd be like blue energy leaks out of the gun when the projectile has reached maximum charge. |

Yup, overcharge would resault in ammo loss, so better have your finger on the trigger.
