(I asked about this in support forums, so i thought i would request it.)

I asked for Permanent Bloody Hell Decals in the support. I thought there was some way we could make them stay. Now that i know there isn't in 1.5, I would like to request exactly that thing. Bjossi and the others made up a really nice idea. One of them talked about making a checkbox to enable permanent Bloody Hell Decals. One of them (I think it was Bjossi) also said something about making the bodies and decals appear only in front of the player's eyes to reduce LAG. I think that was a really good idea, and I might like to see it in the future. And so, that is my request :P .

I'm sure it will be considered for the future (given the amount of feedback on it). I know the team only has one thing on their mind at the moment, but once the release is out and stable, then they will start putting some of these ideas in to action...

That can be hard to do though if the UE2.5 does not support back face culling or sectoring. The computer can´t know otherwise when to hide certain projectors or actors.

when it comes down to it, wouldn't you rather have the Rune Storm team working on new weapons and coding fixes rather than wasting time on blood and guts?

There are already 20 weapons and many of the bugs fixed for 1.6, so what is exactly next on schedule other than improving previously made content like Bloody Hell?

Yup. I´d love to see more maps and perhaps new vehicles.

What about small robots with a control room where your character sits to operate them? It is armed with two submachineguns on each side of the window on the front. Of course they have perfect aiming since a robot doesn´t have a human hand.

trust me, theres stuff going on..;)

we will consider making blood efects permanent, and if we do, it will definetly be an option, rather than fixed. It may really kill performance..

It will do so no matter how powerful computer you have, the computer has to save every decal into memory.

Even though you would use optimizations to make the decals not slow down the performance too much directly, but overloading the memory will definately bring it down onto the knees. But all these optimization possibilities are up to the engine, RS can do nothing about it if the engine doesn´t support it.
