Shouldn't a sniper rifle or a battle rifle produce a muzzle flash that will block the scope for a millisecond? For the battle rifle I dont think you can see your target if you sustain fire |

It would be annoying, remember the stock sniper? I would hate that. |

The stock sniper had smoke which stays there for a a few seconds. Muzzle flashes last about a millesecond. But for the battlerifle it would be annoying. In COD4 if you mount a acog scope on your gun, look into the scope and fire you can see the muzzle flash appearing but it didnt seem too distracting. |

In CoD4 i found it very annoying. I have a G3 with that thing on there, since it's not silenced, i tend to keep myself hidden or silently move further when there's only 1 enemy. I wait till there's more and then drop all of them simultaneously. Though this kind of sniper ambush (how i like to call it) goes a lot faster if i didn't have these muzzle flashes in my screen. Miliseconds can matter a lot. |

In real life do sniper rifles produce a muzzle flash in the scope? |

All depends. Muzzle breakers, calibre (well, mostly the load/grains), etc. |
