just some ideas on Gore. 1.Blood at Katanas/knifes/claws/etc. when you kill someone, you paint your weapon with blood. is this possible to make? 2.Blood decals/bullet marks AT the corpses. so if you're shooted at the head, it will show blood in your head. and a hole too. 3.when you gib someone, maybe some muscles too? 4. maybe a button to "clean" any blood on the map. so, when the game is becoming much slow, just press a key and it will clean any blood. 5[Insert your suggestion] 6. support for invasion monsters? those lame Ut2004 gore on them is boring. I WANT BLOOD!! PS. are those possible to make? |

then do you mean, that from the point the player catches fire he will run around like a madman, or is it a death animation when armor and health run out? guess it's a stupid question

No he simply means scorch marks,it is up to the player if he wants to run around like a headless chicken.

I suggest have the organs showing on the dead bodys. Examples: Shot to the stomach results: Open wound, rib cage showing/cracked, and organs showing. shot to the head: Brain matter flying, pieces of the skull and have the neck vein shoot blood. Shot to a leg: Have the leg come off, you could still be living for a few seconds, but you walk slow. Etc... |

The victims from the Staffs can have more interesting deaths. like burning and becoming ashes?(Darkstar) or Becoming a white Light and ascending to the skies(NovaStaff):P just curious, is there a way to make gibs stay forever in a match? like blood, decals, etc? |

UT2k4 BW has this under the blood settings of BW. The last one is a checkbox to keep all blood decals. |

He is talking about the gibs, not the blood pools. |

He does say blood and decals however. I'd bet having gibs stay would fry a computer in no time. |

Even in Conflict, after a few rounds, if the gibs stayed inbetween like the blood does, then you'd still get slowdown. Happens with the blood on big, 32-player team games with perma-blood, too, after some time. After 300 gory, exploding deaths(To win. Usually the other team has about 250-290, so more like 600), when the match is finally over, the computer has usally slowed down a bit, the high-tech effects not helping, either. I feel the engine might hold the graphics back a bit, and it's really the engine, or how the game handles it, not really the computer. UT2004 wasn't really designed for this. I have a high end computer, which runs Supreme commander pretty well.Yet, still I lag when their are too many players in the game. |
