What would be cool if the laser designator for airstrikes could be used as team weapon. Whenever someone paints a target, it appears on everyone's screen as a target (like an aircraft or vehicle lock). This would be handy for onslaught when destroying nodes or large vehicles. Imagine that someone flies a large aircraft (for example: airpower mod) and gets hideously mauled by AA fire. Then a laser designator can come in handy. The player flying the aircraft can drop his munition a lot earlier and isn't obliged to make a dive to the target. Next to that, one could also attach an IR beacon to the target for the same results, only then more definitive and stealthy. The disadvantages is that, of course, the laser can be seen. So this challenges the players to optimise their timing (thus teamwork). |

Eh who am i kidding. The thing is that signal grenades don't attach to objects, nor will they stay put when you deploy them. It's hard to paint targets with such a tool. However it could work for weapons of mass destruction. Also, I just had another awesome idea. Imagine this: IR beacon + this = 'Player1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6' got OBLITERATED

Until you combine the idea of a sticky grenade with a targeting beacon with a grenade. |

That was the idea of the IR beacon though. Some sort of sticky device (magnet or something) with a bleeping light thingy on it that'll attract fire from your team. (No... not as in motivating teamkill xD, more like making a target radar-visible for friendly vehicle users) |
