This is far beyond the scope of my abilities,and maybe the BW community.(I have no idea)

But I can dream right?

This would be somewhat in the style of Alien Swarm(top down views,yay!) but involving small buildings.(recruitment posts and armories,labs and cloning chambers,crap like that)

Before a game you can customize the units you will use,the different stock UT races would be involved(as well as some more unusual creatures such as undead),such as juggernaughts having huge health and maybe starting armor,freaks(mutents whatever they are called) having more strength and speed,etc.

You can then take these creatures and give them BW equipment as well as rules to how they use them.For example,give them a katana and a sniper rifle and tell them to only pull out the sniper rifle when you press a ability button(made by you!) and shoot someone.

*goes off imagining freaks with chainsaws*

Obviously this isn't well thought out but if there is any interest I could start brainstorming and balancing out game mechanics.

Balancing game mechanics wold be the least of your concerns if you want this thing to work. ;)

Check out Squad Commander for UT2004. Its fround on ModDB. This is an alternate approach to RTS style gameplay. I didn't play it much, but it is an interesting concept. Looks like there was quite a bit of innspiration from WH40k, too.

Anyways, get an idea for what else is out there that shares similar ideas and features. Figure out how they did things, break open the code, take a look. This is where you need to get ideas from if you want to do something like this. Balance and races, classes, factions, etc are just fluff. You need to get to the point where you can actually put them in something before any of your other ideas come into play.

Again,I'm just dreaming,I am no where near being able to do this,I'm just throwing the idea into the wild,mainly because I'm not too sure about it.
