I was reading the post underneath, Shot Wounds, and it got me thinking. What if you get shotgunned in the arm in real-life? Ut makes the whole body take damage, but in RL the arm would be blown off. What if Legs, and Arms had health separate to the body, and a few hits to one would knock it off. Now, in RL, someone with out a leg wont live long, so i was picturing you could still use weapons, but after a minute or so, your aiming is badly affected, growing worse until you succumb to blood loss and die. |

You must realize that when you lose a limb, shock would kick in within seconds and prohibit you from doing much of anything. A shotgun blast to the arm would in fact damage the whole body. Loss of blood affects the whole body, shock from the loss of limb affects the whole body, the trauma from the force needed to blast your limb off would affect your body. In short, you could not realistically keep fighting when you lose a limb unless you had almost superhuman constitution. But meh, this is a game, reality can be ignored. Still, I personally don't really care for this idea a whole lot. But thats just my opinion. |

were talking about a game where you can cut a guy in half and have a huge shower of blood with the x3 combat knife, CMON! I think it would be interesting, and fun fact, your blood veins are elasticated so say if your arm is shot off the veins would acutaly shoot up into the wound and your muscles would contract stopping the bleeding, infact you wont loose alot of blood from an amputation of any kind =/ despite what you see in movies. Besides the trauma factor could also be related to shot wounds. I myself to add a bit of realism use the blood loss mutator which takes away 1 point of health per whatever seconds you set it to be. |

Those are your veins, the veins carry blood back to your heart. Your arteries, on the other hand, will continue to pump blood out through the wound. |

woops sorry my bad, no the arteries won't bleed as much after the amputation |
