Perhaps, for the forums, we could have a form of Helpful Meter. When someone spams, or makes ridiculous forums about weird stuff, we can rate them down. For people who obey rules, and make good posts, we can rate them up? Just an idea.... |

Haha, I can only imagine what would happen to his 'helpfulness' score. In a serious tone, I'm sure there's a way this forum could implement a Karma system. There's probably a plugin floating around for it somewhere. |

WhEre Is tEh ModZz? - You've lost Karma! BANNED - You've gained Karma! It's just like that game, you know, the one with the nuclear bombs and stuff! Also, would this 'helpfullness' be shown where the ranks are currently, as in you can make hundreds of posts but be only a grunt, or make 30 good posts and become a lieutenant? |

The way karma systems work is simply by you can get a vote up/down from other users. It doesn't affect post count or post rank. Usually it's used to figure what members are more popular (or that's what it's always turned to after some time...). Really it'd be better if used for rating advice someone gives, but it'll only rarely actually do as intended. |

WHY should it be aimed at me? ive sorted out all my problems and a helpfullness bar is useless for people who dont know how to mod they'll just go down and down. |

I think that we might implement this sort of idea possibly in the future. Maybe not. Either way, I sense something might go terribly wrong soon in this thread. Locked to be on the safe side. |
