when i was looking through the screen shot i couldnt help but wounder why a riot shield in one of junk wars
screen shots but i was thinking a riot shield like that would come in handy in BW against machinegun
fire. and to use the block press the alt fire on the mouse plus you cant use the sights with the shield and the shield will wear out after awhile or some G5 rocket comes flying towards you and then your housed

Well than how would this work anyways namely use of activation.

A riot shield could protect a specific area of the player model, at least for the lighter bullets. A Magnum shot would shatter the shield and damage you significantly.

And it offers no protection against explosives.

I have no opinion on this. Long as it doesn't get to be as bad as the riot shield in Counter-Strike 1.7

Awesome idea!! Heh, heh... Yes it would be great fun to run around with a shield and pistol (or skrith didearm), or even just the shield as a last resort, shield-slapping people if they get too close. It would be like UT's Shield Gun, only more realistic and with different (dis)advantages.

No, but you could deflect most projectile with it. Flak Shards, Flak shells, rockets, rocket grenades, pulse rifle rounds, shock balls, reedemer missiles, bio-blobs, ripper blades, etc.

But the explosive projectiles would still blow up in your face I assume.

No, they'd glance off to the side past you and miss completely.

optional.. just dont use the thing or disable with swapper or however it may work..

yeah all i know is that i won't use it, shields are mean't for hand to hand combat (even though now-a-days you don't really use em), they aren't mean't for weapons.

Also, i'm pretty sure that if you were holding a shield and a G5 rocket exploded right on the shield, both you and the shield will be totally distroye, the only good thing about using a shield against a G5 is that you get like .5 seconds more of life left.

The shield is meant to protect you against bullet weapons...
Just equip the shield when there is a heavy shooting into your direction, then switch to a gun and finish off the enemy.

thats the idea this shield can take a beating but only from
m50s,pistols but on ocassion it can take machinegun rounds
but the two kinds of weapons that it can block are skirth
and explosive weapons

umm don't you mean can't block?

If shields are put in, I hope they show damage and get all broken up when shot. I like it when things are destrucatble.

That is a must have. It is no fun if the shield looks fine and all of a sudden it goes to shreds.

As far as I know, there's no real cross-compatability between JW and BW. Yet.
