Hello Im new here.Ive been playing UT 2004 for a couple weeks,but Ive had it since march 14,2006"my birthday" and recently got a new video card."my old one was just terrible,every setting in the the menu was low and lowest so I didnt realy play it for more than two days  " Im new to UT2004 but Ive been playing UT for about three years and something.Im also a big fan of this mutator  LONG LIVE BW!! I go by H.A.V.I.C. in UT2004 and reaper900 in UT99.

Welcome to the forums reaper, enjoy your stay here and chat with us about life and BW. 
By the way, if you want good performance in UT2004, upgrading the processor is more effective than upgrading GPU. But a combo of those is the best option.

Pfft! Well hi reaper, luv this mod too. I heard that Fatality, the best UT2004 player in da world, says this is his favorite mod. If this is true, the devs are truly blessed! I feel the joy! Hallelujah! |

$5000 PC is a waste of money. 
And Fatality is the best overall player, but he has gotten his ass kicked many times in UT series. But yes, if he does indeed like this mod, it can have good effects. |

That very thing happened in my case, I bought a Geforce 7900 GTX and gave my little brother my old Geforce 5700 LE.

Ok, this is off-topic, BUT, is this true? How can we get him here?
I normally follow his "activities" in our local gaming magazine...it would be awesome if we could get him to come visit us, even just once...

Well, my PC costed only $1500, and I can't get it to hitch in Doom 3 no matter what settings I use... 6xAA/16xAF with Ultra 1024 x 768, still static 60 FPS.

6xAA/16xAF with Ultra 1024 x 768, still static 60 FPS. I've heard thats one problem with Doom3! You can only go higher if your using a Crossfire or Sli GPU setup! Don't ask why its just what most of my friends say (along with some guys on the BeyondUnreal Fourms!)! |

That's not true at all, I can go to 8xAA, but my FPS will go to the 40s quite commonly. By the way, 6xAA isn't supported by nVidia cards so I was in fact using 0xAA, no wonder I was getting 60 FPS average.

Fatal1ty doesn't like UT. He plays Quake and Doom3. He thinks UT is too intense and twitchy, and not "solid" enough. But I'm sure he could still kick my posterior into the next time zone. |
