I really hate to ask this but being a NOOB and all i feel the need. Where in the world do I actually download the ballistic Weapons and bloody hell mods for ut2k4 on this website!?

Thank you for posting this topic, this is the wake up call I had been expecting for a while, because the wheels seem to have stopped turning for finishing up the work on the new website. The current downloads setup is not acceptable.

We need to make three downloads; pre-patched BW, JW and a full BW + JW package (with BWBP4) and put them into the main Downloads forum of the new site. If someone recommended a good and reliable file host that would not delete the file after a certain time or traffic I would do this myself, as uploading big or even massive files is not a problem here (relative to speed that is).

The downloads posted there do not include every file. Specifically, the ballisticv2.ini is missing. So, like half the mod is MIA. Including my favorite weapon ever, the AH104 pounder.

edit: At least it is in the zip version. will try the umod version.

The AH104 pounder is not an official weapon. And there is no point in BallisticV2.ini when V21 has replaced it.

Hm, you're right I guess, since if I recall you helped make it. But, when I installed mine, I did it in the order of 2.0/2.1/BWBP4 and it was in one of them. Is the bonus pack not part of the official mod?

Edit: after freshly reinstalling everything, the manifest.ini from Bv2.1 was going to be overwritten by the one in BWBP4, From something like 120kb to 3kb... would that effect BW not working right? I was playing a few days ago and vehicles stopped being replaces by the new ones, but the Thor tank was the only one working. I noticed that half the weapons were missing too. Not sure what it is I did, but I've been trying to fix it all day, hah. Then I noticed the new layout and everything. It's spiffy, the old one was rather... confusing.

Edit 2: I noticed this after trying to use the evolution and evolution scaling mutators, which I had never done before.

Edit 3: Huh, I guess the BW I got from the old site was different from these, there's a rather large chunk of weapons missing that might've been part of a side addition to BW. I'll go check to see where they might be. I'm thinking it might be part of Sgt. Kelly's weapons.

The manifest is not supposed to be overwritten, during setup an umod is supposed to add those 3 KBs of data to the manifest already present. Replacing is not a seriously bad thing to do but you will break the uninstall procedure of many mods as well as UT2004 itself. The manifest file is not supposed to be in a zip package of a mod, so if that is the case just ignore that file altogether, it should only be interacted with by an umod.

And AH104 pounder is a class within the BWBPRecolors package by the way, which belongs to Sarge's BW weapon pack (which is not an official bonus pack but a community driven project). I suspect that this one may be confusing you since you talk about a lot of weapons missing, including the pounder. If you can name more weapons you miss we can confirm that theory as right or wrong.

Thank you, I was rather bummed that it was missing. I have no recollection of getting that weapon pack, but lo and behold, I had it. I spent all day stressing over something so silly. Oi.

Anyways, the vehicles are still not swapping they way they should, am I missing something? I've got the BW vehicles mutator on, the map I chose was Torlan. Am I missing something blatantly obvious?

Edit: It was Sarge's bonus pack, I got it and the rest of the toys appeared.

Yep, the community weapons cannot be gotten from the main downloads as they are mainly unofficial works. I'm glad you enjoy them though.
